I have some questions about "Icarus Stops for Breakfast". It's about a young man and woman driving somewhere. An owl seems to attack their vehicle, but they're not too bothered by it. They stop at a diner where several customers stare at them, for some reason. The man is starving and he orders tons of food. The two of them don't talk to each other very much. Are they married? Where are they going? Why is everyone staring at them? While they're at the diner, an owl (probably the same one from earlier) is on a boat above their vehicle. What does that owl have to do with anything? Why is there a donkey in the diner's washroom? I have more questions, but I don't wanna spoil the rest of the film.
"Icarus Stops for Breakfast" is strange and bewildering, but it's funny. I laughed several times. The acting is good, the music is great, and the editing is OK. The cinematography and the sound aren't very good, but they're not terrible. When the man sits down at the diner, you can tell there's an issue with the sound, although I don't know how to properly describe it. Maybe something brushed against a microphone? The film is at least a bit amateurishly made. Anyway, the comedy seems to be intentional and, like I wrote, I laughed. I don't know if I can say that the film is good. I guess it's OK. I would've liked to have seen the protagonists talk to each other more.
