Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to have approved of his son, Patrick going n*de in ‘that’ scene in the premiere of The White Lotus. However, the creepiness does not end there as the main Ratliff family seems to have more dark secrets in store, including a possibly inc*stous angle with Patrick’s character’s brother, Lochlan.
Lochlan is played by Sam Nivola in the series, who also reportedly has famous parents. The son of Alessandro Nivola and Mary Poppins Returns star Emily Mortimer, Sam has been in films like Maestro and White Noise. Apart from her son being in the show, Emily Mortimer also seems to have another connection to The White Lotus.

Most people with a cursory knowledge of Hollywood history have a general understanding that the movie stars of today were the unknown (or barely-knowns) of yesterday, and that most actors get their start in projects that are either barely seen or exist at some level of disrepute. It's a bit of camp fun to check out some of these unlikely early works and see future A-list talent turn up in B-movies: Tom Hanks in "He Knows You're Alone," for instance, or Meg Ryan in "Amityville 3-D," or Denzel Washington in "Carbon Copy." Then there's the flip side of this phenomenon, where a future star gets a big, juicy role in a prestige picture made by an established director, like Dev Patel in "Slumdog Millionaire," or Hailee Steinfeld in "True Grit."
There is also, however, a happy medium to these two extremes: a film made by a Hollywood legend which debuts...

George Folsey Jr., the longtime producer and film editor for director John Landis, has died at the age of 85, according to his family.
The son of 13-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer George J. Folsey, whose credits included “Meet Me in St. Louis” and “Forbidden Planet,” Folsey Jr. got his start in editing at Kabc in Los Angeles, where he edited documentaries and news reports for broadcast in the 1960s.
He then moved into cinema by learning the trade at MGM, where his father had worked, alongside “Grand Prix” Oscar-winning editor Henry Berman. His first feature film project was Alexander Singer’s “Glass Houses,” a 1972 film in which Folsey was editor, cinematographer and producer.
A year later, Folsey was hired to edit John Landis’ debut feature film “Schlock,” a sendup of “King Kong” in which an ape man chased out of his cave wanders into a Southern California neighborhood and develops an unrequited crush on a teen girl.

Folsey died Sunday in Los Angeles of complications from pneumonia, his son, fellow film editor Ryan Folsey (Cabin Fever, Renfield), told The Hollywood Reporter.

Jeff Fowler has directed all three “Sonic the Hedgehog” films, but his association with the video game franchise pre-dates the spikey haired speedster’s big screen debut. Like any self-respecting child of the 1990’s, he grew up playing “Sonic.” “I loved his attitude and that swagger that he had,” Fowler says. “It was impossible not to fall in love with the guy.”
That interest led to an early gig working on the 2005 video game “Shadow the Hedgehog,” a third-person shooter spinoff that focused on a black hedgehog who exists as a darker, moodier, yin to Sonic’s yang. “Whereas Sonic is this motor-mouthed kid who is excited and joyous and optimistic, Shadow is the other side to the coin,” Fowler says. “He’s been through some real hardships and that’s caused his life to spin out in this radically different direction.”

For 62 years, the James Bond franchise has been one of the surest things going in the film industry. The character created by novelist Ian Fleming is an indelible figure in the global popular culture; just about everyone has heard of the MI6 agent with a license to kill, to the point where they know his preferred drink order. The property has had its down periods (the lowest being the interregnum between Timothy Dalton's box office disappointment "License to Kill" and Pierce Brosnan's 007 debut in "GoldenEye"), but it's never stayed down for more than one movie. Every generation has grown up on one James Bond or another, and the debate over who did it best is one of the more enjoyable discussions in filmdom – primarily because most people can agree no one did it poorly.
Of late, the major Bond speculation has been over who will succeed Daniel Craig...

Mr. Bean was about to be called Mr. Cauliflower (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Yes, the iconic character could’ve had a quirky, vegetable-inspired name, which tossed around—including Mr. White and Mr. Cauliflower. But thankfully, Mr. Bean stuck. The change came down to the need for something short, sharp, and memorable, a name that would stick in people’s minds—and the rest, as they say, is comedy history.
Back in the early days, Atkinson first tested out the character in Canned Laughter, a comedy sketch collection. Here, he played Robert Box, a socially awkward proto-version of Mr. Bean. Box was a bit less peculiar but still showed flashes of the Bean-like awkwardness that would later become world-famous. The standout moment? Robert making coffee—not in a cup, but directly in his mouth. Sounds messy, right? This bizarre gag even made a cameo in Bean, Rowan Atkinson’s big-screen debut, cementing...

Statham's comedic timing shines in films like Spy, where he expertly subverts his action hero persona for hilarity. From Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels to Mean Machine, Statham proves his versatility in comedy alongside crime roles. Statham's deadpan delivery and willingness to embrace absurdity make him a standout in the world of action-comedy films.
Jason Statham is mostly known for his action-packed roles in iconic crime movies, but he also has a well-balanced comedy filmography, featuring several standout films. From his early appearances in Guy Ritchie's crime comedies, such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, to his scene-stealing performance in the spy spoof Spy, Statham has proven his versatility as an actor. His comedic roles often play on his tough-guy persona, either subverting expectations or delivering absurd dialogue with a straight face, resulting in hilarious performances that rival those of seasoned comedic actors.

Marvel Studios currently has several movies in development, with one of the most notable being ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ Based on early comments from viewers, it’s expected to rejuvenate faith in the MCU among fans.
Reportedly, this movie was chosen as the sole release for 2024 following disappointing performances of ‘The Marvels’ and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.’
According to Daniel Richtman, a well-known source, director Shawn Levy has impressed MCU executives, leading to expectations of more projects for him in the future.
Shawn Levy began his career directing television and gained fame in the 2000s with comedies like ‘Big Fat Liar’ and ‘Just Married.’ He went on to helm successful franchises such as ‘Cheaper by the Dozen,’ ‘The Pink Panther,’ and ‘Night at the Museum.’ In the early 2010s, Levy directed ‘Date Night’ and ‘Real Steel,’ alongside developing TV pilots and producing ‘Last Man Standing.’

Reportedly, that was the reason why it was selected to be the only movie to release in 2024 following the abysmal results of ‘The Marvels’ and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,’ movies that barely scraped by when it comes to the box office.
Now according to Daniel Richtman, notable scooper and leaker, the movie’s director Shawn Levy impressed the execs of MCU and we can expect him to get more projects down the line.

Shawn Levy's 2011 sci-fi film "Real Steel" takes place in the near future of 2020 when boxing and Mma have been banned, having been replaced by high-octane robot fights. Robot "trainers" buy up powerful, tank-like fighting bots, program their unique fighting moves prior to a match, and then pit them against each other in outsize, heavily sponsored arenas. The robot to remain un-smashed is declared the victor. Hugh Jackman plays a former boxer turned robot trainer who aims to purchase a high-profile robot called Noisy Boy and relive his glory days, but his attempts fail. Instead, he begins seeing potential in a battered, unassuming, out-of-date sparring robot named Atom salvaged from a dump. The robots in "Real Steel" aren't alive, but Levy does throw in a handful of shots implying that Atom may be ... feeling something.
"Real Steel" wasn't talked about a lot upon its release, and only opened to $27 million domestically.

Rod Serling was famous for a lot of things. He was one of the most acclaimed television writers of the mid-20th century, the creator of the genre-defining anthology series "The Twilight Zone," he co-wrote the screenplay to the original "Planet of the Apes," and he even helped give Steven Spielberg his big break. But even though he's famous for a lot of things, he was a prolific writer and even some of his best and most fascinating projects have been largely forgotten by the public over time. Like, for example, an adaptation of one of the most popular Christmas stories ever told, transformed into one of the most politically charged Christmas movies ever filmed.
Serling was no stranger to Christmas stories. After all, he wrote the classic yuletide episode "Night of the Meek," a hopeful story about an alcoholic department store Santa who stumbles across a magical sack that...

The Shape is back! Well, of course he is. He can't be killed, after all, and the "Halloween" franchise must go on to ensure that Michael Myers will still be terrorizing the fine folks in Haddonfield for generations to come. "Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers" continued the trend established in "Halloween 4" and "Halloween 5" of weirdly copying the sequel titles of the "Pink Panther" movies starring Peter Sellers. There was "The Return," then "The Revenge" and now it was time to dive a little deeper into "Halloween" lore, for better or worse.
Honestly, it was something of a miracle that "Halloween 6" even got made at all. After becoming the first in the series to actually premiere on Friday the 13th, "Halloween 5" was the lowest grossing movie of the franchise when it opened in October of 1989. After the development for "Halloween 6" stalled multiple times due to legal issues,...

Hollywood has always been enamored of franchises. Universal became synonymous with horror movies in the 1930s with their Classic Monsters run, while MGM mined Mickey Rooney's Andy Hardy character for 16 films. And then there's the "Blondie" series based on Chic Young's comic strip, which Columbia Pictures wrung bone dry for a staggering 28 installments.
For the most part, these films were produced quickly and cheaply for a quick score at the box office. It wasn't until 1962, when United Artists made a killing with the first James Bond movie ("Dr. No"), that studios began to view franchises as cash cows. With the subsequent success of the "Pink Panther" and "Planet of the Apes" movies, the industry became increasingly eager to turn its blockbusters into ongoing sagas. This filmmaking approach went into hyperdrive in 1977 with the unprecedented phenomenon of "Star Wars." From that point forward, Hollywood quickly became a franchise-driven town.

1964's "The Pink Panther" is not a complex film. There is little to suggest a full-fledged film series in its story of a jewel with the shape of a panther buried deep within. Somehow, that premise resulted in a series of films lasting decades, with eleven unique (or mostly unique) live-action entries. And the cartoon character who showed up in the title sequence, dancing to Henry Mancini's iconic theme music? There was a Saturday morning series starring him that ran in various incarnations from 1969 to 1980.
When writer Maurice Richlin pursued director Blake Edwards with an idea for a film about a jewel thief, neither man could have predicted the surprising longevity of that idea. Certainly, they couldn't have predicted that the extremely thin premise of "The Pink Panther" would result in a series of films running into the 1990s. Nor could they have predicted that the protagonist would be...

Peter Sellers was a comedic genius who could steal scenes and make audiences laugh in both minor and leading roles. He had an impressive range as an actor, being able to play both the straight man and the funny man in comedies, and his versatility was showcased in movies like "The Mouse That Roared" and "Lolita." While some of his movies have aged poorly and faced controversies, Sellers' comedic talent and his best movies, like "The Pink Panther" and "Dr. Strangelove," continue to be just as funny now as they were decades ago.
Peter Sellers is one of the greatest comedic actors in the history of cinema, and his legacy includes some unforgettably hilarious movies. His most famous character is the clueless French detective Jacques Clouseau, who appeared in the Pink Panther series of movies, but he had plenty of other great roles in his career. Beyoncé's self-produced concert documentary Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is gaining popularity at the box office, but it falls short of Taylor Swift's success. Renaissance grossed $21 million in its opening weekend, the first movie to pass the $20 million threshold in the post-Thanksgiving weekend since 2003. However, this result is in stark contrast to Taylor Swift's concert film which made $92.8 million upon its debut.
Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is conquering the box office, though not quite at the level of Taylor Swift. The movie, which documents Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour, was also written, directed, and produced by the star herself. The stadium tour saw the singer perform classic singles and tracks from her new album Renaissance, including "Alien Superstar," "Run the World (Girls)," and "Drunk in Love."
Per Variety, the Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé release is set to close Sunday with a 3-day opening weekend total of $21 million at the domestic box office.

Just before he reaches the age of 28, Timothée Chalamet will very likely achieve his third Golden Globe (and first Best Comedy/Musical Actor) nomination for “Wonka.” Following his previous bids for “Call Me By Your Name” and “Beautiful Boy”, this notice would make him the youngest man to have ever vied for all three possible film Golden Globes, smashing a record set by 35-year-old James Caan in 1976. He would also make history due to the fact that he would be the third actor recognized by this organization for playing Willy Wonka, thus putting the fictional chocolatier on a very short list of film characters that have inspired at least three Golden Globe nominations.
Directed and co-written by Paul King (“Paddington”), “Wonka” serves as an origin story for its title character, who was first introduced in the 1964 Roald Dahl book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Chalamet puts a relatively youthful spin...

Fellini, Visconti, Loren, Heston, Hepburn, Peck, Taylor, Burton … a dream dinner party of talent graced the grounds of Rome’s renowned Cinecittà film studios during the so-called “Hollywood on the Tiber” period — named after the river that runs through the Italian capital.
From the epic Quo Vadis in 1951 right through to Peter Sellers’ Pink Panther in 1963, the city was burning with big film-production energy. Hollywood studios clamored to record runaway English-language projects there, lapping up the local subsidies, lower costs and unfrozen international funds; peaking with Cleopatra in 1963 — at that time the most expensive title ever made. And now, thanks to both enduring appeal and a similar dynamic that created the post-war boom time, the U.S. film world is starting to take very frequent Roman holidays once again.

Eddie Murphy is reportedly set to star in a new animated live-action hybrid version of The Pink Panther. The actor will portray police inspector Clouseau, who several actors have played in the past. In the original 1963 film, Peter Sellers portrayed Clouseau and continued playing the character until 1983's Curse of the Pink Panther. Roberto Benigni took over the role in 1993's Son of the Pink Panther, and in the 2006 reboot and its 2009 sequel, comedy legend Steve Martin became Clouseau. The film hasn't been remade since, but allegedly MGM is producing a new Pink Panther film with Murphy as the lead.
The difference between the new version and the others is that the actual animated Pink Panther character is set to star in the film. In the original movies, the panther only appeared in the title and end sequences and then got his own animated spinoff shows. This time the film...

A new Pink Panther film is in the works with Eddie Murphy is in talks to portray the iconic Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be directed Jeff Fowler (Sonic the Hedgehog) from a script written by Chris Bremner. Dan Lin, Jonathan Eirich, Larry Mirisch, and Julie Andrews will serve as producers.
In keeping with The Pink Panther’’s long history, the project is said to mix the original franchise — a comedy-mystery based on Clouseau’s misadventures as a detective — and the cartoon feline that quickly became the subject of its own series. As a live action-cgi hybrid, the movie will reportedly see a human cast break the animated panther out of prison in order to complete another heist.
Clouseau was made famous by Peter Sellers, who portrayed the French policeman in the original 1963 Pink Panther film before reprising the role for two sequels in the ’70s.

Eddie Murphy is reportedly in talks to star in a remake of the classic comedy The Pink Panther. Starring the legendary Peter Sellers as bumbling Inspector Clouseau, 1963’s The Pink Panther was a smash hit heist comedy that spawned a long-running Sellers-led series, culminating with 1983’s Curse of the Pink Panther. Following Sellers’ death, the Pink Panther franchise made a return in 1993 with Son of the Pink Panther, starring Roberto Benigni as Clouseau’s progeny. A proper reboot was later attempted with 2006’s Shawn Levy-directed The Pink Panther, starring Steve Martin, who reprised the role of Clouseau in 2009’s The Pink Panther 2.
Now over a decade after Martin’s second and apparently final outing in the Pink Panther series, MGM is developing a new reboot, with Shrek star Murphy reportedly in talks to play Clouseau (via THR). Sonic the Hedgehog’s Jeff Fowler was previously reported to be directing,...

Eddie Murphy is going pink.
The actor is in negotiations to star in Pink Panther, the MGM comedy based on the classic property. He would star as Inspector Clouseau.
Sonic the Hedgehog filmmaker Jeff Fowler is directing from a script by Chris Bremner, with Rideback’s Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich (Aladdin) producing via their Rideback banner. Larry Mirisch and Julie Andrews are also producing.
The Pink Panther films told the adventures of bumbling Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers), with the first film involving a jewel called the Pink Panther. A cartoon panther appeared in the opening credits, and became popular in his own right, starring in cartoons over the decades.
According to sources, the new feature project would be a live-action/CG hybrid and would combine both traditions. The premise takes a buddy cop movie tone to the proceedings with the Inspector and Panther teaming up for the first time ever on the big-screen.
