In this somewhat inferior sequel the Flodder family finds itself in America, where they get into antics that are fairly identical to the ones from the original. They even end up in yet another car chase with bad guys, what are the odds? The only difference is that neither of the cars ends up in a swimming pool this time around, making the scene about a hundred times less awesome. The son isn't spying on female tennis players anymore, now he's turned to basketball. And then some crooks catch him and want to beat him up, just like in you've guessed it, the first one. There are some new jokes that work, but mostly the makers really just relied on the audience having low expectations and wanting more of the same. Which I guess isn't a particularly dumb move. If you liked the first one you'll like the sequel too, because it involves the same elements (crude jokes, action scenes, Tatjana Simic naked), but overall it seems rather phoned in.

Yes, it's more of the same, yes they air it too often but after a long day one can relax with jokes that are so phoned in you don't need your brain. Look for subtlety? Look for a nice storyline? Look somewhere else.
In dire need of some low-key fun? Enjoy!

Think again. It's like sweeping something under the rug - the dirt is still there. It's just somewhere you can't see it. It doesn't mean it won't come back (be afraid - or joyous, depends on how you feel about them) - quite the opposite. So Flodders are "gone" but we follow them and don't believe for one minute they behave differently in America.
They are the same crazy people and they will not abide by any laws - especially if the don't feel they apply for them. Gratuitous nudity and a lot of swearing - we've become aware of that. But there are inconsistencies in their behaviour now - the sister previously pimped out now considered conveniently something to shield from men - just to pimp her out again later without blinking. Yes some may not even care, but if the movie breaks its own logic, no matter if it is for comedic purposes, I dissaprove. Having said that, there is "fun" to be had, if you are not easily offended

OK, I'm going to be short on this one: it's a comedy about the Netherlands' favourite antisocial family that's sent to the United States just to get rid of them. What follows is a series of stereotypes and cliches about both the Dutch and the Americans. Those stereotypes are sometimes funny, mostly stupid and almost without any kind of subtlety. Not recommended for people with weak stomachs or any kind of sophistication, moderately enjoyable for the "average viewer"

The portrayal of the characters were still too vulgar, though an improvement on the first movie.
This movie was the sequel to Flodder. Flodder (part one) was a huge success in the Netherlands and everybody was eager to watch part two. So was I, but how disappointed I was, this must be one of the most "not funny" movies I've ever seen.
Don't watch this movie, it sucks!

Bas Rutten from Eindhoven, Holland, didn't get the point at all. Yes, this film was unsophisticated and full of stereotypes - it was méant to be! If you can't see that, then you're like the people in the film that were ridiculed themselves. I really laughed my tears out at this one, and hey, I don't lack subtleties. The story is so over the top in demonstrating the total unadaptedness of this family, it's a real achievement. Although it's clear that it imitates Brutti, sporchi e cattivi, all the same it's got a uniqueness of its own. The films (there are three of them) and the series have been, and still are, very popular in Holland; they wouldn't be if they were bad. The actors all did a splendid job and so the director himself, who also wrote the story and the music, did. I wish the commentaries here would more often be given by people who are entitled to speak about the level of movies, and not by blunt arrogants that try to make an impression in lowering other people's achievements.
Flodder in Amerika is reely bad!
the acting is very poorly,
and Sjakie has to many times
bad luck, like
he was stucked somewhere.
Flodder in Amerika!
is to much
out of balance
large fault is the story
around Sjakie
who has the whole time bad luck
and the bad acting!.
And bad jokes.

I love these movies, they are very funny! and are a lot better then those hollywood movies that charge the world to make them! *and they are boring too, coz you know whats gonna happen* it's great to see movies like this!! woohoo! go the flodders :O)
Great movie, instant classic. Huub Stapel is legendary in this movie with soms great one-liners and ho wouldn't like Sjakie with all his bad luck.
Very enjoyable, just turn off your thoughts and watch.

Flodder in amerika! Is a hilarious sequel to the original Flodder film, following the infamous Flodder family as they travel to the United States. The film is packed with crude humor, outrageous situations, and sharp social commentary that is both entertaining and provocative.
The acting is strong, with each member of the Flodder family bringing their unique charm and comedic talents to the screen. The film doesn't shy away from vulgarity, but it does so in a way that feels true to the characters and their absurd adventures. While the humor may not be suitable for children, it's perfect for those who appreciate a more irreverent style of comedy.
Overall, flodder in amerika! Is a fun and entertaining film that delivers plenty of laughs. It's a great follow-up to the original, capturing the same spirit of humor and anarchy. I give it an 8/10 for its humor, strong performances, and the unique charm of the Flodder family.
