Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaApparently, to prepare himself for the cross-dressing scene, Jason Isaacs wandered the drag clubs, picking up on behavior of people there. He wanted to bring Keanu Reeves along, but it would be hard to go undercover with the star of the newly-released The Matrix (1999), so he went alone.
- GoofsThere is no way a remote control submerged submarine can be guided in murky water without a clear visual. If the operator could see the submarine, so did the other kids and the public. Anyway, the remote controlled boats would have a keel to put them in the vertical immediately after hit.
- Alternate versionsIn order to get a 'PG-13' instead of a 'R' the scene where Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron are in a bathtub together and some dialogue had to be edited/changed (you don't see how his head goes under water and that she laughs).

Perhaps those who've written all the bad commentary about this movie need to sit back and just enjoy things every once in a while. This movie is a good example of a slightly sweet and cheesy plot being centered around some average actors, but it was a really good screenplay and EXCELLENT cinematography. Cinema students would do well to watch this movie and notice how the director used sets colors and music to set the scenes and mood.
