This Romanian film made during the last years of Communism in Eastern Europe aimed to entice young agronomists to opt to work in countryside state owned farms rather than waste their talents and skills working in government planning offices or in big cities.This theme was a favorite communist theme during the 1980s when there was a real shortage of qualified agronomists in rural state farms.Most agronomists avoided the unglamorous country life and preferred assignments in the city.
