Dana Barrett was originally in the script, but Sigourney Weaver turned down the offer to play the role. However, Weaver changed her mind when the rest of the film's cast, including Bill Murray, were signed on, but by that time, Dana had been written out and the part had been rewritten as Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn (played by Alyssa Milano).

Goofs
When listening to messages on the answering machine back in the firehouse, if only one message remains on the machine it will say "You have one new messages." However, this is not so surprising, especially considering that it is 1991 technology. In those days, the extra circuitry required to eliminate that minor grammatical error in an answering machine may have substantially increased the unit's cost, and so been deemed unnecessary by the manufacturer.

Crazy credits
Despite being made in 2009, the intro movie for this game carries the 1980s Columbia Pictures logo on it, just like the original Ghostbusters movie. However, the Columbia logo seen before the main menu loads is the modern one.

Alternate versions
There are three versions for various platforms: ) The PS3/Xbox360/PC with a realistic art design ) The Wii/PS2 edition uses a stylized cartoony character design, with a greater focus on puzzle-solving ) The Nintendo DS version also uses the stylized art design, but is a squad-based strategy game where you control the original Ghostbusters instead of the Rookie. All three follow the same storyline, but with differing level design and enemies.

who ya gonna call?

I've been a fan of ghost busters since i was a kid. i saw the movies, watched the cartoon, i was even a ghost buster for halloween when i was 8 years old.

well i was looking through game demo's on xbox live and saw that there was a Ghost Busters video game. so i downloaded the demo and played it. at first i wasn't too impressed. catching the ghosts were fun and awesome but i felt the demo showed it as more of a puzzle game. well 2 years past since then and i was in the store looking for a cheap game to entertain me and i saw it on the shelf and it was pretty cheap. so i decided oh well i guess ill get it. it will entertain me for a while.

while playing it i actually got into it. the characters were just as i remembered. especially Bill Murray's character. and i got really excited to fight the Stay Puft marshmallow man lol.

well yea it is sort of a puzzle game and it seems even more ridiculous than the ghost busters movies but you got to remember Ghost Busters is not supposed to be a horror movie or game. its supposed to be a comedy and this team of misfits just gets into this kind of trouble while investigating and catching the paranormal.
