Lost Tales from Camp Blood: Part 2 (2009)
* 1/2 (out of 4)
Second film in the series of shorts takes place the morning after the events from the previous film. A couple camp counselors find their car won't start so they decide to walk through the woods when they of course happen upon the deranged killer. I was really disappointed in this second entry because not too much happens until the very end so this is pretty much just a set-up for the next entry. Once again there's no suspense to be found and the entire chase sequence doesn't work at all. The murder scene will remind everyone of a certain one from Friday THE 13TH VI: JASON LIVES when the killer disappears but suddenly reappears as the victim is looking for him elsewhere. As with the previous film, this one here uses the wonderful score by Harry Manfredini and it really makes you appreciate at special it is. Even though the scenes aren't that strong the score at least adds a little something to them.
