Never would I'd thought that a movie would be this annoying and boring. This was a waste of 90 minutes. So much in fact that I fell asleep twice. The characters were god awful. The story has been done to death and has been done a lot better than this. To call this a horror movie is a big stretch. I get it no big budget or studio backing but c'mon great movies have been made with small budgets. This was just another attempt to piggy back off of other horror movie's success. There's no way I'd recommend this to anyone unless it was for a prank. Don't waste your time and avoid this movie at all cost.

I found this on amazon prime and looked it up couldn't find much about it and only found 3 reviews so was excited to watch it and find out more but oh my God I literally could not watch it for the simple fact that all of the talking is SO quiet you can't hear it, so you turn the volume all the way up and then BAM random music that is RIDICULOUSLY loud you have to turn the tv all the way down again. And the random music happens all the time even in simple scenes, I made it 22 minutes in and was so pissed off with it I couldn't watch anymore which is a huge shame as I would of liked to of seen what the movie was all about. It was that bad I made this imdb account just to leave this review.
What on earth did I just watch? Based on a true story from about four decades ago, but nothing in this felt well done. From the terrible couple who just didn't seem a match to the jealous friend in need of a hair cut. There was absolutely nothing interesting in this movie. Australia you have your work cut out in future to produce better standards. Honestly, you must know this isn't a good watch?
The female lead did okay but the others absolutely awful especially the male lead. Need to work on your casting, your tension, pace and dialogue. Not bothered about jump scares etc that's just for certain people who don't know what they're talking about.

I saw this at a local screening showcase event for independent films. I wasn't going in with high expectations if I'm being totally honest. Based on the poster, trailer and the fact its low budget, I was assuming this would be a run-of-the-mill cheesy, slasher flick. But I was pleasantly surprised! Moorehouse Road (which if you haven't guessed, is the street where the bulk of the story takes place on) ended up being quite suspenseful and original. Starts off slow but the pace picks up around the middle and becomes more intriguing with every moment, leading to a pretty cool twist. Great performances by the cast too!

Saw this on Tubi. Thought I'd check out after hearing director on podcast talking about making a tiny budget indie film. It's about a young woman who unsuspectingly ends up in the middle of an illegal organ harvesting operation during a road trip across Australia.
Learning this film was made for under $15k I was expecting it to be really rough around the edges and poorly made, but where it may lack shine, it makes up for with atmosphere and story. It's honestly quite remarkable that this was made with a tiny budget and small crew and manages to be as good as it is.
This thriller (not really a horror film despite the gloomy poster) is full of great cinematography and interesting characters.
Definitely an inspiring film to watch for those making films who limited by budget.

Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. The trailer grabbed me and thought I'd give it a shot. After a bit of a slow build in the beginning with character development, the film ramps up nicely as the protagonist's world starts to unravel.
The acting was of decent quality, however, the two leading ladies really stole the show with some powerful performances. I enjoyed the cinematography, the suspense, and I really felt for the main character and what she was going through.
Is it flawless? No. Is it worthy of a scathing review? Also no (were we watching the same film?!?).
This movie is an entertaining, suspenseful and sometimes surprising low budget film that my partner and I liked a lot. If you're looking to give Hollywood movies a break, this is definitely worthy of your time.

Was gearing up for a fun slasher but was instead treated to an interesting and charming crime drama/thriller.
MOORHOUSE ROAD is about a group of 3 friends who end up at a cottage where the wacky owners who live in the neighbouring house (on a very large farm-like property) have some secret and sinister things plans for their "guests"
If you're after jump scares, lots of blood, lots of chase scenes, popcorn-movie scares then look elsewhere, this isn't it.
But if you're after a gripping mystery with interesting characters in intense situations and a fun plot, then this is worth a watch.
This film does have a slow start, so ideally not for people with short attention spans, but when things heat up midway, it gets really engrossing.
Shot in picturesque West Australia, so no shortage of stunning locations either.
