While this show is not known for getting dark and brutal, this episode might be the exception! I got chills watching this episode! One of the darkest and most tragic backstories to a character! Even though you might have guessed how things played out, you are STILL not prepared!
The animation and action was great! Soundtrack was also really good!
This is a villain origin story done RIGHT! You know he is evil, but after watching this, you cant stop feeling sorry for him!
Season 5 has not been the strongest but this episode will stick with me as one of the best and most memorable of the series!
Monsters aren't born... they are created!

I was not only mind blown by how good this episode turned out to be, but very devastated and shook by how heartbreaking and sad it was, it really was hard to watch at the end.
I thought I had a good idea where this show would go when exploring Tomura Shigaraki's backstory, given his extremely destructive quirk. However, nothing could prepare me for this extremely well animated and directed tragedy of Shigaraki's childhood this episode delved into.
In one scene (you'll know it when you get there..) I felt an eerie, creeping sense of dread.. very akin to episode 4 of Fullmetal Alchemist.
And its execution is bone-chillingly brilliant.
Also very notable is that in these last few episodes the writers have completely done away with "hand-holdy" reminders of what happened in past episodes, allowing the plot to flow very seamlessly.
Overall, this will go down as my favorite episode of the entire show and also the reason I made an account here.

Thank god they did not mess up the origin, this will be the most remembered episode, for a long long time. *chef's kiss*
While this episode isn't perfect it's pretty damn close, the whole episode itself is A+ but those last three minutes were at the same time both tough and awesome to watch, my god. One of if not the darkest episodes in this whole show and also one of the best, just wow.
