At Sofia Film Festival I was prepared to see a regular drama/thriller - little did I know they did not select random films. I left the screening satisfied with this multifaceted exploration of guilt, especially given the young age of both filmmaker and characters. No side of the problem is left unattended, pondering what may lead to a crime (banal absent-mindedness rather than "evil"?), and the vital importance of repentance. Would a very young man guilty or crime, or its witness, escape or face it? During a talk, the director said that he didn't place particular importance on the age of perpetrator(s), yet one can't but consider it, making the behaviour and decision of the protagonist impressive. Personally, I see this film as an appeal for thoughtfulness.
