I cannot believe how mad this movie made me!!!! Every character in it was so detestable there was no possible way Bloody Mary could of killed them enough times. The acting was unacceptable. The violence, which is why we would usually consider watching this in the first place, was almost laughable in quality. The pacing of the movie was unbearable. The only good part of the whole movie, Ron Jeremy, was such a small part.
I don't understand how anyone that had any part of this movie can even show their faces in public. I'm ashamed that I even watched it, for free. If I paid to see it, I would probably be catatonic right now.
In closing, I never expected to this movie to be great, I had low expectations going into it. But I did expect to be entertained and I was miserable the whole way through. Please please please avoid this trash!
This piece of s**t will be banging on my rib cage for a long time :(

Now I actually "Like" a bad film. Some people would probably go so far to say I enjoy a REALLY terrible film. However from the opening "flabberghastingly" terrible opening scene (which leads to some of the most uninspired use of Modul8's transformer effect (seriously strap yourself in for the "music video" in around 15 minutes (or skip forwards that much))). However, https://www.facebook.com/bloodymary3d brings "movies" to an altogether new low. A zero.
I've no idea how this ever got past the stoned conversation stage. Maybe its based upon state dependent memory?
Acting? From the opening (terrible) lesbian scene, to the sterling performance from "Robert?" it looks like the entire cast took method acting lessons from Pinnoccio for six months prior to filming started.
The Motion template used for the opening credits is set perfectly to what can only be described as a low bitrate rendition of some post punk warble too.
Seriously, fifteen minutes in and the stunning use of Modul8 for "the music video" has simply taken my sense of wonder away.
I could go on ... However I'm not entirely sure I'd not go postal trying to get through the next hour and five minutes ....
Help?

How to begin a horror film? A gratuitously lengthy steamy session of naked lesbian sex in 1904? When hubby comes home unexpectedly and catches wifey at it...how many redblooded males have fantasised about this sort of thing, especially with a stunningly attractive blonde and redhead? But not this guy, instead of joining in, he murders them both. Fast forward to the present day, and the plot is revealed. This is actually a well-known urban legend, that of Bloody Mary. Call her name when you stand in front of the mirror, and if you give the wrong reaction when she appears, it's curtains.
It's also very silly, but if you don't mind a bit of blood, the naked Mary is looking remarkably fit considering she's been dead for over a century. What else is there to recommend it? Well, the soundtrack is not bad, nor are some of the one-liners, like: "We needed something quick and cheap; for some reason I thought of you".

There are approximately 171,476 words in the english language.
None of them, and I mean NONE of them combined into sentences and paragraphs could articulate how deeply and passionately I hate this garbage.
Why was this made? It is beyond laughably bad. It was like watching a car accident in slow motion, it was slow with no real pacing, and I couldn't look away.

Bloody Mary 3D is bloody awful, but I didn't hate it: it's just too bad not to find just a bit entertaining.
The film opens in the early 1900s, as two women -- redhead Mary Worth (Veronica Ricci) and a hot blonde -- get down to some steamy lesbian sex (both are clean shaven down below and Mary has silicon-enhanced tits -- so much for historical accuracy). The women are interrupted by Mary's husband, who grabs a knife and punishes them for their sins.
In the present day, two women break into a warehouse hoping to appear in the latest music video by rising 'rockstar' Matt Elias (Derek Jameson). To pass the time, they invoke the spirit of 'Bloody Mary', who kills them both. When Matt and his crew arrive, they also encounter the angry ghost, who bumps them off one by one.
When the best performances come from ex-pornstar Ron 'The Hedgehog' Jeremy and overweight movie nerd Shawn C. Phillips, you just know a film is going to be terrible, but Bloody Mary 3D is so incredibly cheap and utterly trashy that it at least avoids the crime of being boring.
Ricci can't act to save her life but spends a lot of the film naked or mostly naked; also adding sex appeal is Alena Savostikova as aspiring actress Elle Bree (who sadly remains clothed throughout). Jeremy plays a harmonica (thankfully, he also remains clothed), Philips runs around with his shirt hanging out of his trousers, and the lousy music video for Elias's equally lousy song 'Ribcage' is played in its entirety (and repeated several times). There are a few murders, but gore-hounds shouldn't get excited: they're totally lame.
I'm probably being over-generous here, but I'm giving this one 4/10 for being so utterly craptabulous.

The plot isn't scary at all.
Horrible is only the amateurish low quality of sound, acting, singing and picture. :-)

Right, well the movie had literally just started, and I was ready to turn it off. Director starts with a full blown girl on girl sex scene. Yeah, I was sitting down to watch a horror movie, not a pornographic movie. But I opted to give the movie a fair chance and not turn it off within the first three minutes of its runtime.
Of course I had not heard about this particular movie prior to stumbling upon it here in 2024 and opting to watch it. But of course I am familiar with the urban legend that is "Bloody Mary", so I figured I would be in for something like that. And it was sort of that, except it was all watered down by amateurish movie making and sleazed up by pointless nudity.
Was was up with the music video segment about 15 minutes into the movie? Talk about a pointless filler running for about three minutes, as it didn't further the storyline or narrative one bit.
The acting performances in the movie were pretty wooden and amateurish. It was a cast ensemble where I was only familiar with Brinke Stevens and Shawn C. Phillips, which aren't exactly A-listers. Usually I do enjoy watching unfamiliar and new talents on the screen when I sit down to watch a movie, but the acting performances in "Bloody Mary 3D" were just draining the overall enjoyment from the movie.
"Bloody Mary 3D" is dumbed down significantly by a pointless and excessive amount of nudity that serves the narrative no purpose. It felt nothing more than an excuse for writer Keith Parker and director Charlie Vaughn to show off an abundance of female nudity.
I guess I should have taken notice of the staggering 2.2 rating that "Bloody Mary 3D" had managed to snag here on IMDb, at the time I sat down to watch it.
If you enjoy horror movies, like I do, you need stay well clear of "Bloody Mary 3D". Some of us suffered through this dumpster fire of a movie, so you don't have to; you're quite welcome.
My rating of director Charlie Vaughn's 2011 movie "Bloody Mary 3D" lands on a one out of ten stars. This movie was truly and utterly abysmal.

As reviews have pointed out, this film opens in the year 1904, as two women Mary Worth (Veronica Ricci) and a another woman get down to some steamy lengthy explicit scene. The scene quickly follows after them being interrupted by Mary's husband, who grabs a knife and punishes them for their sins. He wastes no time in doing so. And as this occurs, we get a sense to how low budget the kills and lack of effort shown will be.
Described as a horror film but it's too low budget and terribly acted that it's hard to take serious. The kills are and it's reactions are obvious here.
Most of the movie takes place at a music studio for a pop star filming a music video. There are a bunch of one dimensional characters coming along as each one end up getting killer (by silly looking stabs) by Mary. A lot of talking with no substance as the scenes are simply there to pass time.
There are no real thrills, no suspense and nothing exactly memorable happens. What is silly is how none of the characters weren't able to simply just kill or attack Mary. She would occasionally appear through the mirrors (urban tale of saying "Bloody Mary" three times) and randomly pop up, but once she is there, no one did anything to her. She simply had a knife. In the end it's simply a weak low budget film.

Well not literally - or in a sense maybe it is. But any way and case, what is sure: no pun intended. The movie starts off with the inciting incident (a woman cheating on her husband) ... with another woman ... and both of them are beautiful - you might confuse this for a softcore movie to be honest .. and they are pretty on the eyes as the saying goes ... but there are other movies to satisfy any need on that front.
Also as beautiful as they are ... I would not call them actresses - no offense. Surely nice people (all of them), but this is an exercise in amateur hour in every respect and regard. Of course that may be exactly what you are looking for - the effects are not bad - but it's not like you'll see anything elaborate ... or any wounds after multiple stabbings for example.
Again suspension of disbelief is the least you have to do ... that the beginning plays at the beginning of the 20th century feels ... well I don't think anyone will actually buy this ... I am certain you have better things to do with your time. Also added weight: a now persona non grata in Ron Jeremy ... though maybe you do not even know who he is or what he allegedly did ... you are blessed if that is the case ... stay blessed and away from this! The German Mediabook Disc release on the other hand is super pretty ... that alone almost made me go 2/10 ... or you love the song so much ... well if you do you are in luck! It almost seems like the movie was made to promote the song.

I remember I've watched this movie, even though not entertaining much, somehow, I used to like this movie . Bloody Mary comes from the urban legend that when you chant her name at the mirror, her ghost comes alive. This is the film I don't know if I suggest to those horror fans , and Don't forget that tree outside the house.
