The much anticipated movie turned out to be the real disappointment. I do not understand what these people are trying to project from such movies ? I went with an anticipation of a fresh plot without using brain but since the movie made my brain go numb, I took a nap in between. Too many loose strings and plots and sub-plots and sub-plots without any relevance among themselves lead to ultimate confusion and in between I was searching for some entertaining material which never came till the end.
Karishma Kapoor didn't carry her role with stability, her emotions just seemed unreal.Same goes with the rest of the cast of the movie. It isn't worth big screen.... i still din't get whether movie was serious ,sad, funny, romantic, action or a thriller.

I was being pigeonholed in my apartment this Friday and decided to rent out this DVD to kill time. Used to be a big fan of Karisma in her bygone days, man what a disappointing performance. Everything about the movie sucked, the badly edited script, the shoddy acting, the irrelevant characters. This includes Karisma's co-star. I won't even Google to find out the name, only thing I can remember he has such a clumsy wooden, expressionless face. They were a gross mismatch even if I take Karisma as some sort of cougar not considering the huge age difference, she really looked as if babysitting her boyfriend. Jimmy Shergill, a fine actor otherwise, looked tired and worn out, probably anguished with subjecting himself to Karisma's comeback tantrums. Seriously, Karisma didn't find a single co-star for her comeback movie. I heard her behavior isn't very good so that makes people keep distance.
Only the most pathetic, lazy mind could come with a script like dangerous ishq.

The confusing posters of the film stressing more upon the 3D logo instead of the title gave a clear message about the confidence of its makers before the theatrical release of DANGEROUS ISHHQ.Besides, Vikram Bhatt (after re-discovering the horror formula of success), making a film on Past Life Regression as a comeback project for Karishma Kapoor somehow didn't sound that exciting to me, keeping in mind all the recent movies of the director.
Still I watched it and so did many others in the theater expecting at least something exciting out of the rare combination of Past Life Regression plot, Karishma Kapoor and Himesh Reshamiya. But as it got over, there was only one question in my mind that, "Why on earth, Karishma Kapoor chose such a low grade movie to be her comeback venture in the Industry?" The question was posted at Facebook and it got a very meaningful reply from an experienced friend, who commented, "For the same reason she chose "Prem Qaidi" to be her debut film in the Industry." And I think that should explain a lot to the readers about her DANGEROUS ISHHQ which undoubtedly remains one of the weakest & worthless projects released in the year 2012.
In short, the review is clearly written in the film's title itself which warns the viewers that it's highly dangerous to see it in theaters spending your time, money and efforts together. The subject of Past Life Regression, which could have easily been the strength of the movie, actually proves to be a curse for it. The poorly written screenplay taking the viewer into different eras of the past, fails to impress completely and the film simply appears to be a B class project in all its departments ranging from writing, acting, direction and presentation. Probably that was the reason why many people were not on their seats in the second half as the film started post its intermission.
As an experienced actress Karishma Kapoor tries her best to lift many lifeless sequences but in the process loses the battle. In reality, she shouldn't have done this film as her comeback vehicle. Rajniesh Duggal continues to be in search of his talent and Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta, Aarya Babbar, Samir Kochhar, Ravi Kishan and more just perform as professionals working on an assignment. Himesh Reshamiya gives another average soundtrack of his career with nothing worth remembering. But more importantly don't get fooled by the 3D logo placed prominently in its promotions. The film had no need of 3D technology at all and its just a gimmick to bring in more viewers into the theater. In fact DI also gives out a clear lesson both for the producers as well as the viewers that 3D format is not required and should not be used in every or any kind of film without giving it a serious thought. It's all waste of time, energy and effort to use it for a film like DI.
Ending on a lighter note, Past Life Regression might be a therapy or method through which people try to find their peace. But in DANGEROUS ISHHQ it actually takes away that precious possession of the viewer in a more cruel way. So it will be real dangerous if you opt for this past life Ishhq in the theater.

I don't know what these people are talking about! This movie was different. Just because you were unable to catch what was going on doesn't mean the movie isn't good. Its a superb watch. Something different. Most people were probably hyped because Karishma was coming back and I think she did a great job and looks fantastic. Don't watch the movie when you are tired because you actually have to pay attention to to understand what the movie is about. After viewing this movie, it makes you wonder about past life regression. Before watching you may want to research and find out what it is so you can understand the flick instead of wanting a typical boy and girl dancing & singing near a tree movie

I don't watch too many modern films but I was so impressed with Zubeidaa starring Karisma Kapoor when I saw it over ten years ago that coming to this one I was hoping for the best but fearing the worst, the reviews were so negative. Well: imho this isn't anywhere near as good as Zubeidaa was but it's still a fairly entertaining 2D time-passer, in this lifetime anyway.
A woman's husband is kidnapped for ransom by baddies which so unhinges her mind she realises that she is simply on the Great Mandala and a prisoner of her past lives. With help she regresses to some previous states to find that their love was just as great and fraught with danger – an inseparable love throughout many lives causes many problems. Kapoor puts in an excellent performance, my big problem is the drama veers from impressive storytelling to clichéd corn and back again so much that most of the time I didn't know whether to silently applaud or laugh loudly. Also confusing to me personally is that the modern sequences alternate spoken languages between Hindi and English so swiftly between and within sentences I found that I was often reading the English subtitles for no reason! But concentration is usually rewarded, and this film is worth it so I paid suitable attention. From the little music on offer I liked the lilting Lagan Lagi from the key 1535 segment, and the Umeed Hai reprise in the modern nightclub was stylish.
There's a convoluted - some might say a cheating - twist ending but at least everything adds up. It's a well-made, slick and thoughtful romance with much soapy melodrama (nothing wrong with that); definitely not as bad as I'd feared but I don't think it's a film I'll go out of my way to watch again.

Beautiful movie with different idea.Vikram Bhatt's obsession with all things supernatural is well-known.Marketed as Karisma Kapoor's comeback movie.3D is effective.Reincarnation of true lovers and villain is beautifully filmed. All actors did well except Jimmy.Natasha Sinha after long time is very good.Gracy Singh did very well.Karishma Kapoor did a fabulous job. Background score is effective. If you love horror mystery then go and watch.Good entertainer for whole family.Romantic and Chilling experience.Editing is good but could be sharp.Dangerous Ishq cannot be classified as a period film, or a horror film, or a film based on paranormal activity, or even a thriller. Though the filmmaker would like us to believe that it is a delicious mix of all genres.

I have to say I'm truly shaken by this movie. I didn't expect at all that it would be this good.I have always been a great fan of "karishma kapoor" whether it is in "dil to pagal hai" or my favorite "zubeidaa".Se has been my favorite actress since childhood and since i opened my eyes to Bollywood and I have to say no one, I repeat no one could have played this part better than her.The 4 regressions are each beautifully detailed and well constructed and all very very meaningful,my favorite one being the one with he punjabi girl and the scene in which she has to climb into a true of dead bodies and lie among them sends chills down my spine.I am very surprised that this movie received such negative reviews however the thing is we have become used to watching boy girl love song trouble song plan song and marriage song that we are unaccepting to a different refreshing story like like the one of dangerous ishq. The soundtrack is beautiful no anarkali disco chali no item song but it deeply touches your soul a power possessed by the great "himesh reshmaiyaa". The makeup and costumes could not be faulted no matter how hard I tried. Karishma was looking radiant as usual and perfect for each regression .The makeup covered 5 centuries perfectly.
Although I would say that you require an IQ above 2 to understand and appreciate such a movie which unfortunately most people don't posses. All in all a terrific movie must watch and the twist at the end was spectacular. In conclusion sound, story, costume, makeup, location all great. Couldn't ask for anything better.

The expectations from this movie were definitely really high because the legendary Kapoor girl was about to appear on the big screen after taking a sabbatical of 6 years and in real means almost 9 years. With names like Karishma Kapoor and Vikram Bhatt people expect DI to be an enthralling experience all around. And to me it did prove to be a path breaking movie. The prowess with which Karishma carries this tough role on her shoulders, she deserves a big laud and many accolades in the end year award functions. The direction is way too good and i can assure that it is Bhatt's best work after Raaz. Though the 3D work is good quality but apologetically there is no much scope for 3D effects. The film could have been made without 3D as well. Storyline and Final Verdict! Movie is about past life regression and hallucinations. If you don't believe in such things, this movie would make you believe in reincarnation of true lovers. Such a flawless love story, it deserve 8 stars and an additional star for Karishma's to date best performance after Zubeidaa! Go for it!
I was surprised by the low rating, still decided to give it a watch. There isn't a dull moment, fast paced and thrilling. I kept on guessing till the end plus I love to watch rebirth/reincarnation genre movies, which are very few, I hope we had more movies like this one. Loved it!
Very good plot spoiled by crap acting by lead actors and actresses. Also there were no big stars in this movie, and also had a crap title("Dangerous Ishq"). I am sure this movie would have done a below average business of its time. I am giving 8 stars only and only for this movie's plot which is very very intriguing. An INDIAN , can definitely enjoy this movie because of its plot. People of other cultures may not be able to digest it, but that doesn't mean there is something wrong with the plot. Best, part of the movie is it's climax where all the secrets are revealed. Trust me plot is very strong , you won't regret watching this movie.

Shows everlasting true love, along with good and bad energies always pulling you. Title or casting aside, the movie takes you through three eras, so it's very appealing. The movie touches the core of the mystical world through a modern couple. It showed powerful bonds and beliefs that sadly today's greedy and temperamental generation won't understand. It also had very popular songs. Movie deserved WAY more attention. This movie was similar to one of Sunny Leone's remakes Ek Paheli Leela with a different ending, so watch it for sure and don't worry about uptight reviews or Karishma's comeback.

A very unique story. Never seen concept in Bollywood till 2014. I liked the thrill and suspense. Movie may have gone flop but after so many recent waste Bollywood movies this one still has story. It has only 1 good song hence the rating. Karishma was fantastic. I wish Bollywood makes more of such suspense movies. People who r sleeping in the theater are either too tired or brainless.

Reincarnation is my favorite topic....... No Doubt <3 So, I enjoyed the movie a lot. If you are Sci-Fi fan and watch Hollywood movies. You may not like the concept. But for me this was a phenomenal movie. Okay, I agree that Karishma's acting can be better than this but I loved the story and decided to give 10/10.
We Indians always watch Hollywood movies without questioning. They always show superpowers etc etc....... and we know that can't be real but we still enjoy it and when it comes to Indian movies. We just talk about Logic, sense etc etc... Don't judge this movie like that.... It might can't be happen in real life, but we always love to watch, which can't be possible in real life. Something that is Unreal beyond our thinking...
