I've watched 8 episodes so far, and it's easily my favorite show of 2024! The scenes are breathtaking, and the main characters are beautifully portrayed and exceptionally well-acted. The chemistry between the main actor and actress is surprisingly amazing. The soundtrack is another aspect I love. When the background music plays, it instantly brings me back to my memories of playing those Asian-style RPG games with beautiful love storylines. The story itself is quite interesting, but my favorite part is the fast pace. I can't stand slow-paced TV shows, and this show certainly intrigued me with its quick tempo and engaging plot twists. Every episode leaves me eagerly anticipating the next. The production quality is top-notch, from the stunning visuals to the meticulous attention to detail in every scene. It's a must-watch!

I was concerned about the special effects of this fantasy drama, as many fantasy dramas focused so much on their special effects and forgot the importance of the storyline. Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact has balanced the special effects and storyline well. As a viewer, I am drawn by the beautifully designed special effects, but not losing interest in the story. The plot is also realistic that a child adopted by the Chief of Fox Spirit can develop a relationship with her. The inner debates of YueChu in finding out the kind of relationship he develops with HongHong is very realistic. It's exciting to see how YueChu's struggles to discover the ultimate truth. On the flip side of the story, HongHong struggles at the same time in accepting her feelings for YueChu and YueChu's feelings for her. How two of them grow as they struggle together will be something that I look forward to seeing.

Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact is a long-awaited drama that broke the iQIYI pre-broadcast reservation record. It didn't disappoint me. The acting is top-notch, the sets are gorgeous, the costumes are stunning, and even the OST soundtracks are beautiful. The male lead, DongFang YueChu, is simply amazing - the actor (Gong Jun) is certainly handsome, but what really attracts me is his masculinity, wit, sincerity, and confidence. His love and devotion to his Lady Fairy is one of a kind and very different from the typical love relationships/stories in other Chinese dramas. I finished watching 14 episodes and am excited to see how YueChu become the leader of Yiqidao Alliance and avenge the murder of his parents.
Have to be honest that I was worried about the adaption from the original comic. But after watching the first 10 episodes, I am totally immersed in the story line. The acting is on par (credits to Gong Jun and Yang Mi's great chemistry), the animation effect is superb (not awkward and not too fake), the styling is colorful and good looking, the BGM is so on point (really love Zhang Jie's song - Like a Dream), and of course finally the plot is logical and fast paced. The first 2 episodes entail the background of how Yuechu became an orphan, joined Tuscan and then grew up. The biggest 2 enemies are introduced too. Then in the following 4 episodes, Yuechu managed to revenge for his parents (not entirely yet as there is another plot line regarding his family Dongfang), and Honghong rescued the tree from being destroyed by Shiji. The latest 4-6 episodes are about the couple in Yuyao nation, where Yuechu grew to recognize his mission and goals to achieve love and peace among 2 races. What can I say, if you want to know more about how Yuechu grows and become the strongest human and finally defeat the bad Shiji, and of course achieve peace with the help of Honghong, come join me in the story of Red-Moon Pact.

I have finished the ten episodes, and found the drama quite intriguing. Fox legends are typical Chinese legends, dating back to the days of Da Yu, one of the nation's ancient tribe heroes. There are many Chinese literary stories based on foxes from Qinqiu Mountain and Tushan Mountain, with the focus on the relationship between foxes and humans. It is interesting to see the human character in the dama as kind of Chinese swordsmen, different from the traditional scholars who are physicially weak. Yuechu, the hero is a very lively, active, audacious and broad-minded guy, and he is funny. His feelings for Honghong, the fox who has lived for 1000 years and raised him up, reminded me of the Oedipus complex, as his mother died for him when he was a kid. But the transformation is natural and well-blended into their common adventures and growth.

I've finished watching 6 episodes and already wanted to share my review because I really enjoyed watching Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact. This drama was adapted by a comic which I have never read. Thus, I don't care how different it is from the original comic, as long the storyline makes sense. The drama plot is compact and the pace is good. It intersperses the current situation and background of the human and spirit races. There were many foreshadowing but it did not give people a sense of disappointment. The plot is quite gripping.
The special effects are cool. The Tushan scenery is very romantic and beautiful. The special effects of each character's magic and spell moves are particularly good - kudos to the production team!
I also want to praise Gong Jun's acting skills. I have always thought that such an eccentric male character must be played by a short and skinny guy. Gong Jun proved me wrong! He is tall and muscular, but fits the role of DongFang YueChu very well. Whether he is acting coquettishly with the fox fairies or getting along with friends, I feel like he is a real teenage boy, childish and cute.

Such a beautifully made fantasy drama. One of the best in the recent years! Gong Jun did a very good job playing a teenager Dong Fang Yue Chu at the beginning, so energetic and smart, very different from his previous roles such as Wen Kexing and Han Ye. This is a very beautiful but at the same time sad love story because there is a huge gap between humans and spirits. Therefore, it is even harder for human and spirit to fall in love and stay with each other forever. It might be set to fail but Dong Fang Yue Chu and Tu Shan Hong Hong still try to fight for it. It's like Romeo and Juliet LOVE it!

I completely fell in love with this fantasy world.
A story about love and protection.
And i haven seen the animation before.
They made a good challenge to complete the parts not found in animation. The details of the couple's relationship are also laid out very comprehensively, and every detail of the interaction was clearly explained. The viewing experience is so smooth and enjoyable for me.
Also I do love the characters.
The actor who plays Dongfang Yuechu is so good at acting and looks pretty.
I plan to start watching other TV series he starred in.
I feel like I will become his fan!
Already Looking forward to the next episode.

It's bursting onto the scene this early summer, has met the high expectations of its audience. The entire cast boasts stunning looks and exceptional acting skills, especially the leading actors Yang Mi, Gong Jun, Wei Zheming, and Zhu Xudan, as well as Guo Xiaoting. This live-action adaptation of an anime shines brightly with its compelling storyline, superb performances, exquisite costumes, and high-tech special effects.
Gong Jun acts as Dongfang Yuechu, who evolves from a boy sheltered by Tushan into a powerful individual. He strives for goodness, aiming to create a world where humans and demons coexist peacefully without mutual slaughter. He loves the female lead, Tushan Honghong, prioritizing her in everything he does. He heals her wounds, cooks for her, and protects her, even at the cost of his own life. Yuechu cares deeply for all the foxes in Tushan, working tirelessly to change some of the inherent prejudices held by humans.
Yang Mi acts as Tushan Honghong, who is cold on the outside but kind-hearted, sees her joining hands with Yuechu to create a beautiful and peaceful world. Wei Zheming plays the third prince of Aolai Kingdom, the most powerful demon. He assists Honghong and Yuechu in building their ideal world and shares a notable love story with Tushan Yaya. Supporting characters like Yan Ruyan, Lü Qianwen, Butai, and the guards also deliver commendable performances. Even the villains are outstanding. This series is definitely worth watching.

As I am not a comic fan and prefer realistic stories, I was a little hesitant when my friend asked me to watch Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact with her. I've watched 16 episodes and it's getting more and more exciting! The plot of the first two episodes is relatively slow because different characters and background need to be introduced. However, the character DongFang YueChu is very eye-catching. He is handsome, cute and talkative. His presence made the scenes very interesting. The way he calls "Lady Fairy" is brainwashing (I like it though). I like the fact that the story didn't drag. The next 6-7 episodes went smoothly; it didn't take long before Tushan HongHong and DongFang YueChu to figure out who the dark force was and reform the Spirit-Master Kingdom.
I am glad that I watch this fantasy drama with my friend because I really enjoy it.

I am an anime fan. When my friend told me that the Fox Spirit Matchmaker was going to be made into a TV drama with real people, I didn't have any expectations for the drama at first. One of the key factors that draws me to a movie or TV drama is the appearance of the actors. I watched Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact because judging from the trailers, there are many handsome actors and pretty actresses in it. After watching the first few episodes, I am addicted to this drama! The adaptation of this drama is logically smooth and harmonious and is not too different from the original work. The script is solid, the foreshadowing is coherent, and the settings of each character are clear. From what I have seen so far, the production and casting of this drama are all good. I especially like Dongfang YueChu played by Gong Jun - he is the comic YueChu I have in my mind!
Gong Jun is a great actor. His portrayal of DongFang YueChu has a clear growth line and distinctive characteristics.
When DongFang YueChu was still living in Tushan, he couldn't hide his emotions and was very direct and expressive. He treated the three Tushan sisters and spirit friends with a pure heart. He could be naughty sometimes. These are the traits we mostly see in young people because they haven't had many ups and downs and haven't experienced complex relationships.
As DongFang YueChu left Tushan and grew older, his eyes became more complicated. From episode 1 to episode 26, the changes in his eyes and various delicate micro-expressions made me feel like I was witnessing him gradually grew up.

After watching a few episodes of Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon pact, I was quite impressed by DongFang YueChu, played by Gong Jun. This is the first Gong Jun drama I've watched. Gong Jun's appearance gave me a strong impact. Gong Jun's acting skills are very rich, making the character vibrant and making me feel like he is a teenager. There is no deliberate attempt to act young. His performance is very natural and engaging. Some of the characters' behaviors and movements may seem simple to the audience, but in fact they are carefully designed by the actors to make the characters more fleshed out. I think the quality of this drama is quite high and will continue to watch till the end.
I have enjoyed Hu Yao Xiao Hong Niang: Yue Hong Pian so far. There are many things that make me like this fantasy drama, but one thing intrigued me is the fantasy of having humans and spirits co-exit peacefully in the same realm. The goal that Tushan Honghong and Dongfang Yuechu pursue to make the world a better place for both humans and spirits, which is noble and sacred. Both characters have to sacrifice themselves and their love for one another to make humans and spirits live amicably together. How this fantasy is going to end up is something that I look forward to watching. It is definitely something that is going to make viewers feel for Honghong and Yuechu as we journey with them.

I love Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red Moon Pact! I have watched the 18 episodes released and felt a little lost last night when they paused for a while. I love the storyline about not judging anyone by their "race". I love how stunning the XR effects played in the drama. Every scene is gorgeous. I could almost feel the heat when they fight! LOL. The casts are well selected, especially the male and female leads. Jun Gong as Yuechu is active and funny whilst Mi Yang as Honghong is calm, cool, and composed. Their chemistry fits their roles in this drama. The rest of the casts are attractive too. It's pleasure watching them. The costumes are so beautifully designed. I learned they studied from the ancient China historical periods such as the Tang Dynasty. The makeup, too is so appealing.
Everything about this drama appeals to me. I thought I was in the same fantasy realm as them. I guess that's the effect that XR hopes to bring.

This TV series exceeded my expectations. The acting skills of several leading actors are remarkable. Yang Mi perfectly portrayed the temperament of Tushan HongHong, a leader of the Fox tribe. Gong Jun vividly displayed the lively, cheerful, arrogant, naughty, witty and domineering character of the human race Dongfang YueChu.
The drama captures the essence of oriental culture and presents a wonderful visual experience full of Chinese elements. The exquisite visual effects and impressive makeup are very appealing. The ideology of trans-racial harmonious coexistence touches my heart as it is a hot topic in today's society.

This drama is more then what i expected initially I was wondering about how the special effects would be in the drama as they were my main concern and not all dramas have smooth special effects which look natural I am surprised to see it not only has excellent special effects they are so beautiful it looks like you are watching people living in a real beautiful fairyland. Storyline is also very smooth as the drama revolves around the lead character Dongfang Yuechu how he escaped from clutches of killers who were after his spiritual blood and he ended up entering the Tushan a place where no human is allowed. Story moved around how he grows up from a child to a young man and gradually falling for the chief of Spirit Land. Gong Jun played the character of Dongfang Yuechu excellently, looking so charming, carefree and youthful you can see him like some teenage boy being infatuated with someone for the first time in life. He really justified his character and did splendid job. I am really looking forward to how story further unfolds as he grows and many obstacles will appear as story goes. Rest of the characters are also pretty good. Everyone is good looking and pretty. Besides being having wonderful story beautiful cinematography it's very pleasing to the eyes to see many beautiful people in the drama.

Gong Jun is one of my favorite Chinese actors, not only because of his handsome look but also because of he takes acting seriously. His posture in costume dramas is one of a kind. Facial expressions can tell us a lot about characters - Gong Jun is very good at expressing himself through his eyes without even speaking. It isn't easy for a 30-year old actor to play a 16-year old lively and cute boy. The feeling of youth has to come from a pure and true heart. His clear eyes are full of joy, cheerfulness, and elegance. It's a pleasure to watch him.
Kudos to the production team for finding Gong Jun to play DongFongYueChu.

The story is focused on the growth line of male protagonist Dong Fang Yue Chu who is clever, sunny and handsome young man. His growth line is really exciting. It make me remember the story of 20s drama zero to hero line. The portraying of this character is really good and the actor himself acted so well. The young actor Gong Jun can clearly divide the young sprit of Yue Chu im Tushan and the mature leader of Alliance group Dong Fang Yue Chu . I am in love with the actor performance . Thank you actor Gong Jun for perfectly portraying this Dong Fang Yue Chu character. Looking forward to other performances and unexcepted changes of this storyline 💕

Didn't anyone praise the scenery and special effects of our "Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact"? The Tushan scenes slowly unfolded at the beginning of the first episode are so beautiful and majestic. Tushan is a wonderland! Now I understand why this drama took so long in post-production, it was really worth it! No wonder Gong Jun said that fantasy dramas are utopias, I want to live like this in Tushan too!
It is particularly worth mentioning that the special effects of this drama are amazing. I've heard they used "XR virtual screen" technology. After watching eight episodes, I am impressed by the new technology! The scenery is grand and real, very immersive. I highly recommend watching this drama on a big TV screen!

I really need a lover like DongFangYueChu. I watched 20 episodes of this drama. I was moved by the love of Dongfang YueChu. Although he lives in Chinese mythology, I really need to meet such a lover in reality. First of all, he respects his lover very much and strives to realise his lover's wishes. He has been helping her succeed, not forcing her to be by his side in order to get her. Secondly, his love is very firm. Even if there is a misunderstanding, he is maintaining their relationship. Third, he will cook for the people he like, take good care of her, and create romance. Finally, whenever his lover is in danger, he will save her. Thank you for letting me see the ideal love.

Nowadays, the ratings of online platforms can no longer prove the quality of a drama (or products). Therefore, I usually rely on reviews because people who take time to write reviews are likely real audience. I've read many good reviews on Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact and it was one of the most popular c-dramas before it was aired. It took me only three days to watch the first 20 episodes, which shows how addicted I am to this drama! The story is fascinating. I did not read the comic book, so I don't care how different the drama version is from the anime version.
Power disparity in society can cause suspicion and fear, which lead to chaos. People with power may not consider the best interests of those with less power. I was moved by Tushan Honghong and DongFan Yuechu's willingness to sacrifice their own interests in pursuit of peace and harmony between human and spirits. When I watched it, it resonated with me because this is exactly what is happening every day in our real world. The victims of wars are always powerless civilians. We need great leaders to create a better world for us.

I've always liked to watch Gong Jun's dramas because he is very handsome and his acting is good. In Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact, his acting skills were proven to have reached to another level. When watching the first three episodes, I was convinced that he was a teenage boy (although he was 30 years old when he filmed this drama). When he was hanging out in Tushan with his fairy lady and fox spirits friends, he has the innocence of a boy.
I have finished watching the first 14 episodes (waiting for IQIYI to release more episodes) and have enjoyed this drama very much. I think this is the best costume drama Gong Jun has ever acted in so far.

The actors and actresses in Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact are all very good looking and have great acting skills. They all fit their roles very well. The special effects in this drama are top-notch; especially when watched on 4k big TV, the effects are truly stunning.
This drama's structure and pacing are engaging, and the characters are believable and memorable. No one loves or hates for no reason. The story does not deliberately create conflicts for the sake of so-called dramatic conflicts. I enjoyed watching it. The theme of this drama is inspiring - scarifying personal interests to safeguard collective interests. What the strong have to do is not to conquer, but to protect. Putting the interests of the two races above personal love, the story is coherent and the values are positive.

I accidentally saw this show on YouTube and was amazed by the special effects and interesting plot. It seems to be some kind of fantasy about "Fox Spirit Maker"?
The main characters are the "Lady Fair" who looks pretty and cool and "Dongfang Yuechu" (DY - does it have special meaning in Chinese? Its a bit hard for me to remember this name) . This male lead look sooooo handsome and cute...and his MUSCLES OMG!!! (I NEVER see any teenager in my life that can train his muscles to that form!!!) I assume this is a love story between the male and female leads but the story line so far seems to be fast pace and interesting. I'll definitely finish watching it. (This is my first Chinese TV show =)
The reason I left this review is, its my habit to search for reviews about shows that I like and I was surprise to find someone comment on the male lead has " terrible acting skills" and " his facial expressions are stiff". THIS IS TOTALLY UNTRUE! His micro expressions and gestures (acting skills) fully makes me understand his emotions. As a teenage and can act so well, it reminds me of DiCaprio in Gilbert Grape (the two characters are total different but just remind me of the talent of young actors). So I hope whoever come to look at the reviews will disregard the negative comments and give this show a try!
