It takes a lot for an episode of TV to make me feel what this episode made me feel. I watch so much TV these days that very rarely do I sit hooked to every line.
From the first 5 minutes I was drawn in to the mystery. Which I honestly didn't think was going to happen since this season has had so many ups and downs.
The ensemble cast truly excelled in ways that reminded me of old Dr Who.
I've been watching this show since I was 7 and every part of this episode reminded me of why I love it so much and why I keep coming back after the dud episodes.
RTD has done something unique and special with this season and it shows in this episode. He knows how to create a very slow build mystery that gives little to no detail throughout but pays off massively.
I am so glad he didn't bring back the same old monsters we are used to (The Master, Cybermen, Daleks etc). We needed something fresh that we haven't seen in a long time and this episode provided that. I am genuinely excited for the next episode something I haven't felt since RTDs first era.

This is what we've been waiting for all season! Who is The One Who Waits? Why is Susan Twist everywhere? What does she want with the Doctor? There's no fluff in this episode. You feel hopeful that you'll finally get to see who is Mrs. Flood, and who is Ruby's mother, but then things take a terrifying turn. We're left with more questions, some answers, and eagerly waiting for more. Brilliant and heart wrenching acting by Millie Gibson, who more than anything wants to know where she came from. Ncuti as always comes off as The Doctor who wears his hearts on his sleeve. It's always lovely to see Kate, Mel, and now Rose as well. It's going to be hard to wait another week for more. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Fans of Classic Who, you will be happy! Those who haven't seen Classic Who, you might be a bit confused. I want to avoid spoilers so I won't say more, but this one is a nail biter.
Doctor who is back to it's best. Ruby was interesting, the fact that her mother is unknown and who she might be is also unknown is quite interesting. The story balances is out the chaos of time and the mystery to who it might be. And honestly this side to the story was fantastic. The old Companion of Mell was also an interesting and a brilliant return to the siries. This episode is one of the best, and it kept getting better as it went along. The mystery behind the mother and who the villain could be was very Entertaining and very mysterious. I feel like the next episode will explain who Mrs Flood is, but this episode was really enjoyable, I can't wait for the next episode.
You have the fun! You have the scares! You have the heart! Wow just wow! What an episode! The pacing was absolutely perfect this episode! The plot unravelled in such a compelling way! The performances were all great! The effects were all fantastic! The music was thrilling and intense! This is probably the best part 1 to a finale the shows ever had!
This is what Doctor Who is all about! I sat watching the episode literally laughing because of how great it was and how much fun I was having watching it! This truly felt like RTDs first era more than any episode he's made since he's been back! It felt like the classic finale's he used to make! There's still part 2 to come and I'm so glad now I bought my ticket to see this in the cinema! This... This was made for the fans and it delivered tenfold! This is what Doctor Who is to me! I absolutely loved it!

Now THIS is doctor who. This was what I was missing in my life. Such a fantastically paced episode, great character moments from the doctor, great soundtrack, and great visuals. The tension kept up throughout this episode was fantastic, reminding me a lot of The Impossible Planet, one of my favorite episodes of Who. Ncuti has shown to be one of the greatest actors to ever portray the doctor, and delivers yet another great performance here. The ending of this episode was just amazing. The big reveal might be one of the best in the shows history, everything about it was perfect. Hopefully part 2 lives up to this one.
