When Shiva enrolls at a Fine Arts college, it is all fun and games, until he is tormented by visions seen only by him, compelling him to chase shadows which could lead him to insanity or uncover a hidden horrific crime.

Shiva, BT, Vijay, Swami, lalita, SAYLI, GODU, Bakul enter their first year at "Vishwkarma Institute of fine arts" (VIFA). College is fun and the teachers are unlike any they have ever met. "Saya Sir" (Makrand Anaspure) urges them to shed their bookish knowledge and fly free! Do the things they always wanted to, leave their fear behind and find that hidden artist inside! "Fly Free Yourself". Bharat Tisra aka. BT is a loose canon and his psychedelic dress color sense cannot really make up for his weird looks. BT falls for chubby 'Godu'. But Godu dislikes BT because of his weirdness and looks. Vijay aka 'Vijay Dinanath Chavhan' falls in love with his yoga teacher, Rihana Gulzar, but the College Dean 'Limaye sir' (Sayaji Shinde) also has a soft spot for Rihana and uses every means to thwart Vijay's attempts to woo her. Life is good, college is fun, but on the night of the fresher's party, Shiva sees something inhuman. These supernatural encounters start to increase and torment Shiva, that he is left with no choice than to follow it and uncover the truth. Since no one else can see it, Shiva is conflicted between declaring himself as mad man or a terrified detective. His search leads to a twist which is both horrific and tragic. Yet despite these visions, semester art submissions are due and the topic is "Debra Lingo Bakshi Jhango" -Kya Bole? What??!! Rangeet is a romantic comic super-nature thriller, a theatre of the absurd, set up in the environs of an idyllic beautiful, possibly haunted colonial Art College campus.
