I'm going to make a solid attempt at writing this review without spoilers, but so far this is without a doubt my favorite episode of the series. The ending left me feeling dismayed I have to wait an entire week to get the next episode. This was absolutely fantastic, the writing was great, the execution was perfect. In the beginning of the season I was struggling a bit with Deb, it felt like she was lacking some of the charm from the original show and the bond between her and dexter as well. This episode brought that back and I couldn't be happier. All the call backs and reveals were so satisfying. The flashbacks in this episode were guttural and heart wrenching. If they continue to show everything in the last two episodes and don't skip over, I have no doubt in my mind I will be an emotional wreck. Everyone involved in this episode did an excellent job.
Starting this series I had such little expectations which I am sure is the same response almost every watcher had, even including the hardcore fans of Dexter. It really seemed like this was going to be a cash grab and nothing more. Nevertheless, the past few episodes have continued to prove that statement wrong, with episode 7 having one of the most shocking plot twists, and episode 8 setting things into place for the final two episodes of the series. The focus on some of the OG characters from Dexter being brought into the lens and also cameos of some of the original characters has been fantastic and feels natural and not just something that's done to "wow" the loyal fans. With all that being said, I cannot WAIT for the final two episodes within the coming weeks.
I had an amazing experience watching this episode, plot, characters, plot twists, perfect dramatic flashbacks lines as well as original suspenseful lines. I really felt like I was watching original Dexter, and sometimes even better version of it!! I don't remember when I was enjoying serious this much for the last time!!! Every I REPEAT every line in the episode was just outstanding!! I didn't expect that the prequel show could affect me and amaze me this much, really.. I hardly reccommend every fan of Dexter or just a regular Dexter enjoyer to watch this episode! I assure you, you won't be disappointed..

Absolute cinema from beginning to end, with countless shocks and intense events that were executed seamlessly. The pacing was masterful, keeping viewers on edge while delivering each twist with precision. The writing, direction, and performances were top-notch, making this episode a standout in both Dexter and New Blood. Every moment was crafted with care, ensuring an unforgettable experience. From character arcs to cinematography, everything felt meticulously planned. This may very well be one of the best episodes in the entire series, leaving a lasting impact on fans , All we are hoping for is a great ending.
One of the best episodes of Dexter in general. Original Sin is the only season that feels as coherent and as well thought out as the first season. And this episode shows all of it so well. It still does the best thing possible with the family dynamics, as well as focusing on the overall story AND keeping the fan service as rewarding without being too much or nonsensical. Loved all of this episode, can't wait for the last two. I personally only bother with reviews if I really really loved the episode, and this was the case so much that its crazy. Can't recommend this enough, and I already did to 5 people.
