Addi (Rebecca Dalton) dreams of becoming a shoe designer. She gets an opportunity to get her foot in the door when she lands a job as an Assistant to a very demanding footwear icon. Her family doesn't understand the demands of her new job, and why she doesn't have time to help with her Father's shoe repair business, they are upset she can't attend family events (boohoo) She gets help and encouragement from the charming PR guru, Austin (Olivier Renaud) who has his own dreams and aspirations. (The storyline starts out very similar to the Hallmark movie, LOVE ON THE SIDELINES, an Assistant who starts out making mistakes in her job and the demanding boss is getting upset and angry. In both movies, the lead character suddenly becomes proficient in her duties and impresses the boss and others). Drama is added as the footware business is threatened to be bought by a rival company unless they succeed in creating new designs and getting lots of sales in the next fashion show. There is a mishap and misunderstanding which creates a potential disaster (usual Hallmark stuff). The plot could have been wrapped up in 30 minutes but instead drags on and on, very repetitive. There is no chemistry between Addi and Austin, their relationship is more like that of coworkers. The ending is very predictable. Just one big BORING movie! Come on Hallmark please find better writers and get someone that does better in casting the lead rolls so we see some actual chemistry, and the romance is getting less and less in your latest movies.
