    A bomb of emotions

A bomb of emotions - the simplest way to describe this episode. It's one of the most powerful episodes that allows you to truly understand the character, specifically the former Sword Saint, Tricia. We also caught a glimpse of this past during the battle with the White Whale in season one, but this time, we saw the story from the perspective of the Sword Saint, which was far more complex.

A similar situation to what happened with Reinhard also happened with Tricia. She experienced a flood of negative emotions when she felt that she had stolen her brother's right to become the Sword Saint. Despite being a peace-loving person, while her brother was dedicated to mastering swordsmanship, she inherited the title. Even after she became the Sword Saint, her husband ended up becoming the strongest swordsman in the kingdom.

In the end, however, she lived a happy life. The final moments, when she awakened and spoke with her true mind, were some of the best scenes in this episode. Ultimately, this episode shed light on the complex relationships within the Astrea family. I would rate this episode a 10/10, both within this season and overall.

Excellent Worldbuilding and Self Contained Story

The Astrea family up until this point in the story had remained somewhat vague in terms of their past. This episode utilizes great flashbacks (not many shows really compare to its usage) and emotion to develop Reinhard, Wilhelm, and Theresia into better characters. The animation was about what I expect for Re: Zero, but it doesn't really matter considering how strong the story remains. The premise of the Sword Saint is also well-established; the world of Re: Zero keeps expanding.

Ever since I first saw Reinhard I had hope that they would develop his character, especially due to the fact that he is the strongest in the entire series. I am excited to see how he continues to gain depth as I continue to see above average storytelling; something that has been lacking in a lot of shows in recent memory.

    9.2/10.

    Astrea family reunion

Wilhelm finally get to confess his love to theresia by word, although He always show his love via action but never said it face to face. I hope in future they adapt EX novels, Wilhelm side story theology in the novel is sooo good, ngl it's on pair with the main story.

The soundtrack was good and amazing as always.

And in the end of the episode he finally farewell to beloved wife.

Now the relationship between son, father and grandfather is ruined even more, probably forever(?). Can't wait for what is coming in the future.

Overall i liked this episode, it could have been made better but regardless it was really good.

Need to separate adaptation from source material

All rezero fans need to not downvote this or other season 3 episodes just because of cut contents.. The anime onlies are loving this new season which tells us that it does it's job of encouraging people to care about rezero again .This whole toxicity of LN/WN readers will only hurt the series .Let's not make our fandom as bad as other.

My review of this episode will be a well directed masterpiece i really love the way it was directed without cutting any major plot points and character arc it conveys the harsh reality is astrea family and what means to be a sword saint. Probably one the best episode I have ever watched of rezero.

    Astrea family.

A conclusion worthy of re:zero. Any chances of reconciliation for the Astrea family end here, with the end of Theresia and the bitterness of Wilhelm, the main culprit for the rock bottom his family is in. Even though their love story is beautiful, it is not tragic, it is toxic. Wilhelm loves Theresia more than his own son and grandson, and uses her name to justify his actions, based on a distorted and selfish vision of love, classic in re:zero. Even though the sword demon has made all these mistakes, he is still respected, and even though his love story is distorted, it is still celebrated all over the world, all for one reason: his deeds covered up his flaws, and even we, the viewers, do not see the synthesis of the Astrea family either. Reinhard and Wilhelm are magnificent characters, Heinkel is also not left out, this family is full of sadness, power and a lot of development, this episode does justice to all of this. Even though there are cuts from the original material, the anime production knew how to adapt well the message intended by the author.
