P.O.V is a horror film about an abandoned retirement home, which is supposedly haunted by demons. A group of teenagers gather together years later for a party to celebrate young Zack's birthday. Things go from bad to worse and eventually spiral out of control, when people start to wind up dead.
The story has been interpreted as being an anti-drugs movie, with a start warning about recreational drug abuse. This appears to be reflected in the final scene, although director Dunford and the cast and crew have never publicly commented on the meaning of the movie, and prefer to allow the audiences to make up their own minds about it.

The music that plays in the lift, when Zack is trying to escape the demons is called 'Elevator Musak' and it was written and performed by Paul Trigwell and Alex J.T. Lambie.
It's never mentioned in the script, but it has been suspected that they are largely teenagers. The real cast who played the roles however, were much older than that.
The P.O.V screenplay was based on an idea by writer/ director Richard Anthony Dunford, with the working title 'Rebound Movie'. Dunford's first feature 'Motorway' had failed to be completed, so he rebounded by making P.O.V immediately after. The script was finished shortly after 'Motorway' was abandoned and in 2013 filming began on P.O.V and was finished early the following year.
So far there is no word to when the documentary will see the light of day. There were problems when one of the original DVD distributors, who had planned to release the film went under. There is a possibility that it will see the light of day on it's 10th anniversary re-release, although there are no plans at the moment.
