Suicide is a serious subject or so I thought until I saw this British made (very) dark comedy about a young man wanting and failing to take his own life.
I know, a strange film and an even stronger review, but actually this film was surprisingly good.
As I've said some very dark humour and certainly not a subject that will appeal to most but with the twists and turns you actually enjoy the fact that the central character has hired an assassin to kill him in one week or get his money back.
Whilst the subject matter of the film is about suicide actually the film promotes one simple truth......
Life is precious.

This movie is dark, funny and touching. I want to watch it again to see what I might have missed when I first watched it. Even my husband who doesn't always "get" the dark comedies enjoyed it.
If you like black comedies, like Harold and Maude, for example, this one is certainly worth a try.

Harvey: Whoever heard of an assassin with a shaky hand? You don't see Michael J. Fox running around shooting people, do ya? And why not? 'Cause he'd be fucking terrible at it. No, Michael J. Fox sticks to raising money for his charity, doesn't even do much acting anymore which is a shame 'cause I'm a big fan of Michael J. Fox. Back to the Future. Secret of My Success.
Leslie: Stuart Little.
Harvey: Why mention that? Why bring that up?
Leslie: He's in it.
Harvey: Only the voice, only the fucking voice. Now, if you'd said Doc Hollywood, I'd agree with ya.
Leslie: Teen Wolf.
Harvey: Teen Wolf, exactly, but he doesn't do films anymore 'cause he knows he's not up to it, do you see what I'm saying?
Leslie: Not really.
