I watched "Sheep & Wolves" (aka "Volki i ovtsy. Beeezumnoe prevrashchenie") together with my son. Granted it was an English dubbed version, so we didn't know that this was a Russian animated movie.
I must admit that I had little or no expectations to this animated movie, especially since I had no knowledge of this animated movie prior to finding it by random luck. It was the movie's cover/poster that prompted me to pick it up, and my son seemed to be interested in it as well.
It turned out that the movie actually was a fun movie to watch for the both of us. It had a good story. Sure it was a very predictable storyline, but it was entertaining nonetheless.
The characters in the movie were good and very likable, which added to the overall enjoyment of the animated movie.
I will say that the CGI and the level of detail that they had managed to put into this 2016 animated movie was quite good. I was genuinely impressed with what I saw on the screen, and it looked quite nice.
The English dubbed version that we watched had some adequate voice acting, although I can't really claim to have heard the voice of anyone that I instantly recognized the voice of.
"Sheep & Wolves" is a good animated movie for the entire family, and it is quite worth the time to sit down to watch.

There's a lot to like about this movie. The animation is gorgeous. The voice acting is competent. I wasn't too into the story though but if you don't think too deeply about it, it's not a bad movie for kids.
Unfortunately I'm not a kid. So the themes and issues with it kinda left me hovering in the middle. Let me explain.
On the surface it's one of those feel good movies. You have a group of wolves, a group of sheep and through wacky hijinks the wolf wanting to be the alpha gets turned into a sheep. He learns about them, learns to care about them and in the end convinces his pack that the sheep should be their friends and not their dinner. And that's fine if that's what you want to take away from it. It's colorful. It looks nice. It's got a good message of working together and it can be something the kids can enjoy.
But I don't get it. The're made partially human in the sense that they're anthro to the point where the females have human curves to them and long hair. Sure, it's not the first cartoon to do that. Yes the animals live in villages with houses and use tools. But they also run on all fours. Yet also they stand on their hind legs and use their front paws as hands. There's no real consistency to them or their design. It's like they took two ideas and mashed them together.
To see this done right, I really suggest Zootopia as I felt this was a little too uneven.

At the weekend, my whole family watched the cartoon "Sheep and Wolves" and all were left with positive emotions, the children were completely delighted. The cartoon is kind and interesting, the main characters look very positive. Wolves are shown with such kindness that now children simply are not scared of them because they portrayed as good animals. A very colorful, beautiful view of nature, lambs are angelic. In this cartoon, as always, good triumphs over evil, I recommend everyone to watch it, an excellent cartoon for family viewing!
'Sheep and Wolves' deserves only 5 of 5 stars! It leaves positive emotions, it's kind and colorful. I liked it!

This is the third film from Wizart Animation Studio.
I have been following Wizart since their first film (The Snow Queen, 2012) and have noticed that their films have exponentially been getting better. This film is no exception to that trend (although it is only their #3).
Story: This is a timeless fairytale told from anamorphic Sheep and Wolves. The general concept is "despite their differences all life is precious and should be treated as such" which could be a valuable lesson this day and age. The characters are comically entertaining, while the voice actors (english cast) certainly knew how to make them lovable.
Animation: clearly a major improvement to The Snow Queen and Snow Queen 2, some blurry and odd animation sequences, but mostly minor scenes and were enjoyable scenes despite that.
Music: Seemed like the composer had a better handle on this film than The Snow Queen. Still nothing hummable, but final song was fun.
-I only wish that Wizart would hurry up with a DVD/BD release here in the United States already. I really would like to share this with other people.

This cartoon caught me with graphics. It is so beautiful. Just look at how the alpine meadows are shown. Sheep flocks. And in contrast to this, a forest and a flock of wolves. And then a magical change of one of the main characters. Every flock has its heroes, characters, who set the tone for the whole story. The cartoon will appeal not only to the child, but also to the adult. It clearly depicts good and evil. On whom it is worth to be equal, and who should be avoided. The cartoon deserves a solid four stars from 5!

The 3D animated movie 'Sheep and Wolves' was released in 2016. The cartoon turned out professional and high quality. Absolutely all the characters in it look very cute, the scoring is perfect, jokes here are nice. Graphic is quality, it's just superb. The plot is simply wonderful, the viewer will plunge completely headlong into the whirlpool of remarkable adventures. The movie looks fun, easy and in one go. I recommend the Sheep and Wolves for family viewing. I wish you all a pleasant viewing and cheering.

This movie is pretty good. It is exceptionally well-done design-wise - in terms of the quality level of the animation. It starts kind of moderately paced story-wise but as time goes on, it gets really engaging, with a thrilling, clever chase at the end. The film definitely left me wanting to see more of Grey's adventures!
For the first few minutes it seemed like it was going to be a quaint, "yeah, isn't that clever" thing, but when the movie pans out, it turns out to be quite effective. I'm quite happy I've seen "Sheep and Wolves" through to the end, we all had quite a lovely time.

I'll admit that I did not have any inclination to see this film, however upon seeing this, I must say that it was exceptionally well done. Of all the computer-generated films this has become one of my favorites, and a favorite of my younger brother. I highly recommend 'Sheep and Wolves' for any parents or babysitters to have ready.
As for the film itself, I was pleasantly surprised. It took traditional characters, like a wolf or a sheep, and assigned them to very nontraditional roles. With a wolf for protagonist, the film subtly explored many themes unknown to the child-oriented fantasy world. There are many lessons to be learned from this film, and at the same time it is very entertaining. The humor is mostly rather mild, and nothing in the film is ever vulgar. Anyway, the humor goes really well with the young kids, and they laugh a lot. Essentially, this film is for the entire family. Not too adult for the young kids, and not too childish to keep the attention of moms and dads. Very universal!

This movie amazed me. It was funny, smart, entertaining, and best of all, it
was clean. By clean I mean that I could watch it with my friends and family
and didn't have to be embarrassed. This movie had none of that stuff. It was
just good clean family-oriented fun. If anyone of you have been searching
for a great movie to watch with your family or significant other, then this
is the one. You'll go away feeling good. Definitely worth the time to see or
rent. Why couldn't other movies be just as good and clean?

Obviously targeted for kids. This film is not scary at all - even though wolves are half of the characters portrayed in the film, they are portrayed as fundamentally good-natured and nice. A cute and very funny movie. The message is good and the plot is a lot of fun. It's simple, but it manages to keep the interest of anyone watching, children or adults. You can watch the movie as a family, just as Pixar movies. The animation is good and the dialogue is pretty funny. The characters are cute, as well as easy to relate to. This film helps teach kids not to be afraid, trust each other and reach their goals. Sweet, relatable, family film that transcends age groups and reaches out to everyone.

When looking at the previews for Sheep and Wolves, I thought it was going to be some explosive animation, even if made for kids. Was I wrong! The film looks at the other side of life: that of the wolf who lives in the wolf's village and he's happy until something happens. This fantastically funny film entertained my whole family; adults, teenagers, and children were completely enthralled from beginning to end.

Gray's character is one of the cutest and cheerful things I've ever seen. The plot was about fifty times more entertaining than I expected it to be! I think this movie is absolutely great for kids of any age, but the charm with which characters are pictured in the film will surely grab the attention of any adult viewer. All of this, and more, is present in this great family movie! I'm sure one day we will watch it again at least once, and probably get the DVD as well.

Most of the jokes are understandable by kids, pretty much as good as in Madagascar and the like. This is really funny for the kids. Some really cute characters, some just nice and some are just plain hilarious!!!! You can't not like them. All in all, Sheep and Wolves is great for children and a must see.

I stumbled upon this movie to watch something online and honestly, the character designs are is maybe the actual reason why they would watch this movie.
Sheep and Wolves or in Russian Volki i ovtsy. Beeezumnoe prevrashchenie is one of the most interesting anthropomorphic to watch. And for a movie made by Russian animators, it's actually pretty good to watch.
The graphics really worked surprisingly amazing when I first watched. The surroundings in the area are absolutely beautiful and I just loved how they add the detail in the fur. As for the story, it is just good I guess. I'm not really sure if one line that mentions a Navy Seal assumes that the location is in a faraway place and I'm not really sure why there is a human-shaped classroom skeleton in one of Mami's caravan. But the one of song choices in the movie is absolutely terrible. One of the karaoke scenes in the epilogue may be good to celebrate but it was absolutely the dumbest pick. However one of the best parts that this movie absolutely has is the character design.
The character designs in the movies are absolutely great but one other actually real character design that absolutely stands out the most is Bianca.
Unlike the other characters like Grey even in ram form. Bianca has the best character design that absolutely stands out the most and it's one of the absolute real reasons why some people wanted to watch that movie in the first place people who see Bianca reminded of Krystal from Star Fox which really gives the eye-catching eye candy to see this movie.
If you're a fan of wolves or sheep or one of the Krystal fans of Star Fox then I would really recommend watching it. But keep a lookout for the karaoke scene in the final scenes so I suggest skipping the scene and move on to the final parts of the movie.
