This movie was awesome. I didn't watch it for a long time because I was stupid enough to listen to the reviews. If people thi k this movie is bad, they don't watch enough movies. And if Ryan Reynolds put as much effort into a sequel for this as much as he did Deadpool, could you imagine how good this would be. And if people still thinks this is bad go and watch the movie Things, or Turkish Star Wars, bet you change your mind real quick. I really enjoyed this much better than the last few Marvel movies. And it had just a great mid credits scene. Anyway, regardless this movie was great and so was Reynolds. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Do what I did and watch it for yourself.
Good old Walt Disney would not survive if he were around today. He built Disney and the Disney name to have value when it comes to the family. In 1984 when Disney launched Touchstone Pictures to release the Tom Hanks film Splash, they didn't want to release it under the Disney heading because it had nudity and some foul language. After that there were a string of R rated films. Sure Deadpool is an R rated character that did well under Fox, but would Walt approve of this film, who knows. Now don't get me wrong, I already knew what this was all about as I had seen the first two films as well. I honestly thought they were okay, and I knew what this was going to be too. But when I see children in the audience, because it's Marvel, and I don't see any care for what we used to call morales, it makes me sad. And yes that is where I put poor Walt, because the Morales of his studio has went down too. If you enjoy the film that's fine, everyone has an opinion, this just happened to be mine.
My only regret is that I didn't get to see this on the bug screen. There are people who don't like it and that is fine, I on the other hand love this film.
I think it is not only funny, but I enjoy seeing this film and would much rather watch this and the original series anytime over the new Rob Zombie film or any of the 80's reincarnation.
It is too bad that it didn't do well in it's original run otherwise we would have had a theatrical Get Smart movie with the original cast. Instead we had to wait until The Nude Bomb, which is still way better than the Get Smart movie with Steve Carell.
But man those movies from TV shows back in the day, they were great, from this to Star Trek, they just don't know how to do that anymore, for example the recent Fall Guy. Ugh!
