My Old Ass (2024)
Feel good one ....
RATED 8/10
Language: English
Source: Amazon Prime
RECOMMENDED
One of the finest coming-of-age films with a lovely fantasy element. The movie is a gem once the old ass kicks in, after the first few moments are a little mediocre.
Teenagers' desires and family values are explored in an intriguing manner. Even though Chad is so unrealistic, it helped for the climax emotional portion. The circle would be completed if they talked about their friendship.
The climax hug scene and the voice messages made me melt inside, which I rarely felt in Hollywood movies...
Worth the watch...
BEWARE of adult scenes.
Kadaisi Ulaga Por (2024)
Forgive the flaws, simply superb ...

Kudos to Hiphop Thamizha for choosing this subject. The political one lines and some satire apocalypse dialogs are ultimate. "Manitham, saga manithan" wow.
Natraj is so opt and has equal role to the hero. He shined both first and second half of the movie. The first half is current politics and the second half is imminent and we are moving fast towards it.
The film isn't flawless; after watching many Hollywood productions, a few scenes seem absurd. Additionally, the hero has easy access to everything in the second half, which adds a little more masala flavor. This is definitely a commendable attempt in Tamil cinema, given the small (own) budget and the forgiveness of these writings shortcomings.
The climax alien touch is too much.
Vettaiyan (2024)
Lukewarm police drama with solid message

As a Rajni fan movie is fantastic in first half and steady second half. Rajni and Amitab combo worked very well from beginning to end
As a common movie fan, can feel the dragging in second part and can easily note the commercial extra fittings...there is not much of story and Rajni moments in second half.
If they added more fafa (Fahad Fasil) moments and investigation in second half it would be great. Once Rana enters the screen, the movie travels into the mediocre path.... What is missed in second half is the Rana character is not made as stronger villain and very less concentrated academy issues.... this reduces the investigation angle of the story....
Totally one solid drama delivered with subtle Rajni styling but failed to hit the pulse as in Jai Beem.
Lubber Pandhu (2024)
PERFECT in all aspects ...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
The best rural sports genre movie, filled with WOW moments everywhere. The director marked his victory, when we get goosebumps for Attakatthi Dinesh. Highly entertaining sports drama with very good social message without any preaching tone.
The background songs, Vijayakanth are used for mass moments. Without any punch dialogs, without mass hero, the movie has fantastic mass moments in the second half.
The dialogs are nicely written and all the actors did their job very well. The one liner, sentiment, love sequences are perfectly gelled with Cricket.
The best part is that the comedy layer in all sad/joy moments make the audience laugh from beginning to end. After long time, I enjoyed the perfect entertainer by forgetting the real world around me.
I would highly recommending this movie to anyone.
Worth the watch.
Nunakkuzhi (2024)
Dragged but not bad ...

The movie has lot of fun moments and laughed out in lot of scenes. The last twenty minutes are ultimate roller coaster ride. Jeethu Joseph added the thriller flavour to the comic galatta story and it worked out well.
Basil is ultimate and his body language, dialog delivery worked out very well. But the predictable story line and the lagging in here and there are spoiled the pace of the movie.
The too much of comedy flavour killed the thrill factor in the movie. The murder and dead body become another comedy object and it failed to give the impact.
One time watchable.
Mudosilmugwan (2024)
Superb time pass movie ...
RATED 8/10

RECOMMENDED
This movie is very good in both sentiments and action blocks. There is no lagging moment. The action blocks are filled in proper intervals and it well placed along with the story flow.
The core subject is so relevant in India now and the subject is handled carefully. I liked their earlier one "Midnight Runners", this time also they surpassed the expectations.
This is very good action masala to watch in weekend... The story is bit predictable, still the comic + sentiment +action perfect mix make it as entertaining one. No gore/adult content.
Worth the watch.
Raghu Thatha (2024)
Good but lot of space for improvement

Good time pass, lighthearted drama. Some dialogs are very nice, and the comic moments worked out well in required places. Even though they tried hard in good making, the serial type of background score spoiled the fun.
The first and last few scenes are unnecessarily stretched. If they trimmed down around 20 mins, this would be a crisp watch. Because of these 20 mins dragging, the viewers lose focus and search for remote button...
The social message on Feminism is carried forward from starting to end. They used Hindi for marketing and some fun moments.... if they added more comic and stressed message, it would have given good impact, now it passed as another light drama...
One time watchable.
The Greatest of All Time (2024)
Good - But NOT all time

The movie starts with great bang, Vijayakanth AI recreation was ultimate. It helped very much. The movie has good exciting moment in the first few scenes and last few scenes. In-between it become so predictable and filled with some cringe surprises.
The De-Aging (especially around Lip area) killed lot of mass moments. Just because of De-aging, the mass moments are miserably failed to young Vijay but Old Vijay is ultimate to watch. Guna movie reference is top notch Cringe, just because of this De-Aging.
The excitement ends when the intro song over and it started again when climax Matta song starts. The first half is so predictable. The second half looks lengthy, but managed with cameo and surprises.
Mohan is big miscast, another miscast is Yuvan. We missed Aniruth in lot of places. There were more claps/excitement from audience for old BGM than the current movie BGM.
One time watchable because of Vijay.

The movie was so good in first half and felt bit stretched in the second half. All cast and crew did their best job in this movie and the outcome is fantastic. Especially the action blocks lighting, music and choreography are ultimate. The Music elevated lot of scenes to different level.
The title is so opt for this movie and SJ Surya did so justifiable villain. Title, Heroism and Villainism all are so gelled with the screenplay... Eventhough the movie is filled with action blocks, this one is prefect fit for family audience.
Worth the watch in big screen.
Vaazhai (2024)
Good drama with Award winning lengthy shots

The movie has powerful and highly impacting climax. The complete story is (very) slowly moving towards that climax portion. All these slow narration adding more impact for the climax. But one point of time you will get bored with the lengthy shots and unnecessary stretch of some scene sequences.
This movie definitely lack the eventful screenplay of "Pariyerum perumal". There is not much events in the first half and most of the events are get windup in second half only. I almost went to snooze state when "panchu mittai" song stretches, but the next scene its stunning....
Bear the slow and uneventful narration for the climax....
Harold and the Purple Crayon (2024)
More for Kids, less for adults and Perfect for Family viewing
RATED 8/10

RECOMMENDED
The movie worked out very well for the family viewing. It was colourful and enough funny moments for both adults and kids. The best part is that I didn't feel any lag in the movie flow.
They cant make the villain as more evil character and because of this the climax becomes bit of childish. The story was quite catchy and animations worked out very well, but the screenplay is leaned more towards the kids oriented.
The starting and the ending was quite nice and good conclusion. Overall, this is perfect movie to watch with family in the weekend.
Agui kkot (2020)
Superb mixture of Romance and Thriller
RATED 9/10

RECOMMENDED
After "MY Mister" i would highly recommend this to anyone who want to follow K-Drama. At first, the main character's appearance did not quite go with his persona. They fit in perfectly once we finished the first few episodes.
The dilemma of Good and Evil response is nicely carried over on lead characters... their acting was so believable and immerse the audience into the scenario.
Although the plot moves a little predictably, the romance element of the tale renders this one as an inconsequential justification.
The only drawback is that the last few episodes. It was dragged like anything and the final episode is bit let down. It moved out of Thriller+romance to confused romantic epilogue....
Worth the watch.
Thangalaan (2024)
Ranjith and Vikram did well....
RATED 8/10
Language: Tamil

Media Partner: Netflix
RECOMMENDED
The hard work and perfectness visible from beginning to end. Vikram Outshined everyone, and gave his best, especially in the second half. All others did their job well for the movie.
The songs and background score helped well for the movie flow. The first half is simple and Aarathi was easy to understandable in story. The second half Aarathi was bit complex and blurred between tribal protest and myth. Other than this confusion, the second half was bit more heavier in flow, lot of scene sequences are covered with very few frames. This gives the feeling of rush.
Ranjith did good job on Buddhar statue and nicely carried over with the story.
The only negative is that the preaching tone is visibly disturbing in some scenes and Paradesi and bala touch in most of the sequences.
Lowlifes (2024)
Simply wow ...

You will be amazed by this if you enjoy nasty, slasher movies. The plot, which involves a group of families becoming lost in a secluded forest and meeting up with another family in the woods, is fairly typical. And slowly, one by one, the slashing began.
However, the way they presented it to the audience offered a somewhat different viewpoint, and it worked incredibly well with the film. I really enjoyed how cinematic the ending is.
For those want to spend their weekend watching a scary movie, I would definitely suggest this one. Those who prefer artful killings should avoid it.
Two thumps up.
Kill (2023)
Superb Violent action kick starter for Indian cinema
RATED 9/10
Language: Hindi
Source: nil
RECOMMENDED
Simple review: this movie is dedicated to the violent cinema. The action blocks are superb and they are connected very well because the action blocks are nicely layered with Emotional quotient.
The story is very simple and the characters in both hero and Villain sides are templated ones, but what remarkably outstanding is the KILL order. I didn't expect the sequence of the events, that was the biggest surprise.
The actions are par with "die hard" level and acting is so good, especially the leading pairs. Well made action package and very good start for violent action thrillers in Indian cinema.
Raayan (2024)
Failed to hit the target
RATED 6/10
Language: Tamil

The cast, production and all technical aspects are perfect. But failed to connect the character and emotion to audience with the writings. The sentiment sequences, action blocks are crafted very well, but as a WHOLE movie it failed miserably.
Looks like all characters are in confused state in second half. There are lot of decisions taken by character just to move the story towards climax, in real/cinematic life no one will do such actions/decisions.
Compared to this second half, the first half was better. Even the great interval block failed to give goosebumps, as that block is so illogical.
Failed to impress, even if you lower your expectations.
Indian 2 (2024)
Cant Like it also cant hate it
RATED 6/10
Language: Tamil

The content is good and the execution is so "vazha vazha Kozha Kozha" (messy). The first part was crisp and clear...but this one is stretched too much. They stretched everything, the description of Varmam, murder, sentiment scenes and action sequences.
On top of all these messed things, they added the negative shade to Indian thaatha, where he was pure and legend in first half. The evil laugh before kills and meow mimics damaged the character very badly.
I always wonder how the Indian will look like, if Rajni acted in it. You can see this movie and get that picture. Added more mass and high-level data instead of rooting to the plot.
Watch it once for the content and regret it for making.
Maharaja (2024)

This is another crown for Vijay Sethupathi. The direction and clever screenplay helped much for the pace of the movie. The story and twists are sharpened by the screenplay...
There is no lagging moment and mostly the acting was great except the lip sync issue with Anurag...
Even with all positives, i am bit hesitate to recommend this one because of the violence and underdeveloped side characters except father and daughter ones... and some places the dialogs are bit unnatural for the situation bit just added for fun note
It is good and one time watchable.
Star (2024)
Heavily flawed
RATED 6/10
Language: Tamil
Source: Amazon prime
The movie has all potential including cast, director, music and nice touch on story, but still failed as a movie. Its very unfortunate to fell short of to orchestrate this great assembling... Totally missed opportunity.
1: They failed to convey the struggling of hero to become star... just roaming around Bombay streets without money not at all add any value
2. Two heroines and both of their love and separation was handled very badly... moving from one pair to another pair is just like tuning one page to another page....
3. Lot of places you can still feel the serial drama making and cliche dialogs and run off the mill scenes...
The only good point I can see that the connection between first and last scene... it was ultimate. Its really touched and I rated 6 just because of this scene...
Seutateueob (2020)
Messed up after two episodes and switched pairs
RATED 6/10
Language: Korean
Source: Netflix
The initial two episodes were thrilling and somewhat distinctive. The narrative foundation and character dynamics were more captivating compared to typical K-Drama. However, everything took a drastic turn starting from the third episode, when the secondary character suddenly took the spotlight as the primary lead.
I found it difficult to accept this sudden change in romantic interests, which significantly affected my engagement with subsequent episodes. Additionally, they inexplicably sidelined the relationship between the grandmother and the good-natured male lead, while needlessly amplifying the romantic elements between the main characters.
Good drama spoiled by switched love pairs....
Garudan (2024)
Good Village drama thriller
RATED 8/10

RECOMMENDED
The movie is extraordinary in the first half and the interval block is so thrilling to close as "Naadodigal" one interval block.... The character and story development was fantastic.
Liked the lead trio characters most and Soori's silence and "non-stop" dialogs to reveal the truths are ultimate.
The second half also good, but the freshness in the first half was missing.
Too much of violence also little bit minus. And the after credit scene is 80's cinema cliche.
The overall screenplay and cast makes the movie as a worth watch in big screen.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
Thought it was Michael Bay movie ...
RATED 8/10
Language: English

RECOMMENDED
This movie has good amount of action blocks in proper intervals. This made the 120minuts runtime as very short. At one point of the time, by seeing the gigantic fight sequence made me to cross check the director, whether it is Michael bay one or not....
The story is very predictable one but the engaging screenplay and superb action blocks covered up these issues.
If you are looking for mindless action flick, this is the one. Watch it with full tub of popcorn with some good sound effect, you will love this. Worth the watch for perfect weekend.
Hot Spot (2024)
Superbly balanced one
RATED 9/10
Language: Tamil
Source: Amazon prime
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
4 solid stories presented in highly entertaining way. The concept, issues analyzed multiple times in Tamil cinema, still its standing out distinctly among them. Must watch adults only movie with some good messages.
First story is so hilarious but it hit the point to audience on point blank. And this is my favorite
Second one simple and quick, not much about it. Director justified this story also with superb interval block.
Third one is highly balanced one like walking on the edge of the blade. It has its own funny moments at the same time slipper slap on the face with the message.
Last one is bit emotional one and bit serial drama type also. The after-credit voice over gives the thought of the director and how sincerely he approached this subject.
Must watch and worth the watch.
Naui ajusshi (2018)

This one stands out from all other K-Dramas i watched. Most of them are templated with silly romance, comedy side kicks and one dark secret. This one stands out in all aspects of characterization, story and presentation. The DMZ tour guide suggested to watch this and I started to watch without any expectations and this turnout as one of the best dramas I have ever watched.
This heart wrenching drama often delves deep into the complexities of human emotion, exploring themes of love, loss, betrayal and redemption.
The initial episodes predominantly focus on office politics and bribery, gradually transitioning into an emotional battleground involving family, friends, and colleagues.
All the conversation between the lead characters are so wonderful. The lead characters response towards the complex situations are breathtaking and it will give more feel-good sense.
Must watch.

Go with open mind and grasp all the surprises. With open mind you will definitely get surprised throughout the movie.
Best advice: don't read any reviews, Just watch it you will be thrilled/exited/laughed/cried/entertained.
All the boys (new faces) did their job well and Fa Fa added the cherry on top. Cant imagine anyone else in this character.
I felt movie ended here in multiple places and what would be there after words, but the director keeps on engaging till the end.
Worth the watch and this is pakka masala entertainer. If possible watch it in big screen, instead of TV/mobile.
