Acting Good (2022)
This Show Is About As Racist As They Come
Wow! The advertising for this show is so below the belt. I wish I could go lower than a 1 star rating and giving Acting Good a 2 star rating is just me being polite but I don't even know just what the hell the writers were smoking when they thought of this but it's just not good at all.
"Awwe! The little white girl wants to get started!"!
The actors in this show are just not acting good at all. I just want to not vomit every time I see the ads for this show but I might just do that.
Who writes shows like this. At the very least the actors can pretend that they're funny. It's just not funny..
New Kids on the Block at Disney-MGM Studios: Wildest Dreams (1991)
New Kids On The Block Are Still Young, Rich, and Talented
I remember being 15 years old when I watched this all the way back in 1991. I couldn't scream because my grandparents were sleeping in the next room.
My favourite kid was Joe. To me he was the cutest! I got my hair cut like his and my friend ruined it for me.
Kevin Can F**k Himself (2021)
I'm Wondering Why Annie Didn't Get Another Emmy Nod For This Show?
I really hope that Annie gets another chance at an Emmy nod since this is something that was very different than Schitt's Creek.
She's a great actress. I think that this could have done with a little more work on the plot lines but other than that it's a pretty good post-Schitt's Creek show.
TallBoyz (2019)
13 Seconds Into It And It Was Enough To Make Me Turn It Off
It's as if they made this show for a bunch of 12 year old boys!
I got to 13 seconds and I just couldn't watch it anymore. Ninja style cries that remind me of Jackie Chan. I mean I turned to my mom and I said "Okay, that's enough of that!"! I'd rather watch a new season of Schitt's Creek because that show's creators are funny.
My mom didn't like it either so what does that say about the writers of this show?
Baroness Von Sketch Show (2016)
I Get Some Of It, It's Just Not Funny!
I'm not quite sure how to put this but here it goes. I get some of the humour in BVS but is it funny? No!
I sure wish I could go lower than 0 on the rating scale but I can't.
I tried watching it once and I just couldn't watch it and I'm a woman. I just don't think that Baroness Von Sketch is as funny as they made it out to be.
SurrealEstate (2021)
It's X-Men meets Million Dollar Listing
I don't know how else to describe this show? I'm really hoping for a second season of SurrealEstate just to see what happens next? How Susan manages to live with her telekinesis or how Luke lives with his telepathy?
Pretty Hard Cases (2021)
It kind of rubs off on you after a while
While I never thought that Baroness Von Sketch was funny this rubbed off on me after a few episodes.
The combination of Adrienne C. Moore and Meredith McNeil is extra funny. So, I don't understand all of this blind hatred for the show?
The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards (2020)
COVID May Be A Serious Subject But It's Good Not To Take Yourself Too Seriously
I didn't think the COVID bits were that bad it's just that Kimmel's bit with Jennifer Anniston wasn't funny.
Jason Sudeikis' bit was a little more funny.
"How long till I get the results by the way?"?
"Three to six weeks!"!
"Yes! Very helpful!"!
Strays (2021)
What Was Kevin White Thinking? This Isn't As Funny As Kim's Convenience.
I tried, I really tried to watch this Kim's Convenience spin-off show but it's just not as funny as Kim's is.
I understand the need to take Kim's Convenience and spin it off but this...I'm fairly certain that my words would be censored by any profanity filiters.
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019)
I Just Saw This....In Short It's Really Silly!
I much prefer to watch the animated Pokemon movies verses Detective Pikachu simply because it's less silly. A talking Pikachu? Give me a break. Detective Pikachu is quite ridiculous.
The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards (2021)
The Only On-Camera Bits That Were Funny Were Bowen Yang and Schitt's Creek.
The teleprompter gag that was part of Dan, Catherine, Annie, and Eugene's on-camera bit was funny. How do you ask a room full of comedy writers to "lift" your dialogue and then realize that they wouldn't be reading from the teleprompter if it was blank?
Bowen Yang's 10 000 steps gag was also funny. The rest of the Emmys telecast was just bland.
The Edge (1992)
Just When The Cast Thinks That Nothing Horrible Will Happen To Them And Then Something Horrible Happens To Them.
Well, as a teenager in the 1990s I always found that The Edge was a lot more stupid than Saturday Night Live, SCTV, or Monty Python together.
It was a shame that. TV. In that time was so vicious and not funny but TJMO.
Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place (1998)
What Was The Network's Logic For Canceling Such A Funny Show?
IDK which network exec decided that Two Guys A Girl And A Pizza Place should be canceled but it was a big mistake on their part?
Who the hell cancels a show when it was so funny? Yes it's the kind of humor that appeals to a 12 year old but come on. Reynolds hasn't been funny since then.
Schitt$ Creek: Life Is a Cabaret (2019)
Emily Hampshire as Sally Bowles Is Terriffic
I don't know what else I can say about Emily's performance as Sally Bowles? She gives a knockout performance of Maybe This Time shyly at first but then you see her confidence growing and growing until she really belts out "maybe this time I'll win!"!
I can see Emily going places at this point.
Saturday Night Live: Dan Levy/Phoebe Bridgers (2021)
The First Skit Wasn't Funny!
Dan Levy = Funny. Eugene Levy= Funny. The opening skit? Not so much. IDK? The entire opening skit just left me feeling cold.
Eugene Levy being trapped inside a tight plexiglass isolation box while Dan Levy was giving a tour of the back stage area was funny. All of Dan's skits were funny.
I don't know who the sound editor was but he/she needs to be fired. Phoebe Bridgers sound editing needed some work. Her backup musician's instruments were too loud and her microphone wasn't loud enough. The instruments just overwhelmed Phoebe's voice.
2 Broke Girls (2011)
Wow! How did this show even get past the brainstorming sessions yet alone last 6 seasons?
Okay, I see commercials for the reruns that play on MyTV Buffalo and I just don't think it's all that funny for a number of reasons but the main reasons being they employ two actresses who are obviously very smart to act stupid. MAJOR FAIL and I wish I could give it a score lower than 1!
The Goldbergs: DannyDonnieJoeyJonJordan (2015)
This is a nice homage to New Kids On The Block
I wouldn't really call this a "roast" of the New Kids but more like a "homage" to it. I think the writers did a pretty good job of trying to mansplain why it was pre-pubescent and pubescent girls who liked the "Beantown boys" so much.
I must say I was pretty skeptical that the writers would handle the writing of this episode in a tasteful way and see the humor in it without being "mean" and "petty" but I was wrong. It was a well thought out episode and was tastefully written.
Runaway (2006)
It wasn't THAT bad!
Well, all I can say is that I watched this show because of Donnie Wahlberg. A family on the run after dad is falsely convicted of a terrible crime.
8 episodes really isn't enough time for character development.
Wynonna Earp (2016)
I hope it's coming to DVD!
I started watching Wynonna Earp by accident on the CTV Sci-Fi Channel. I'm glad that I did because this is SCI-FI at its best.
I was quite surprised by the characters and the plot lines of every show which are simplistic and really easy to follow. Much easier to follow than other sci-fi shows of this nature.
I just wish that it was running a bit longer than 4 seasons because there are quite a number of characters that need more development.
Vagrant Queen (2020)
Tim Rozon Was What Peaked My Interest...But His Character Was Silly.
Before you folks try lynching me let me explain.
I love Tim and I loved him since his time on Schitt's Creek. Please don't think of this as me throwing shade at him but I think his role in this show was silly at best.
Tim has a lot of talent that I like but I don't think this was a particularly good role for him because, whoever wrote this show, made his character out to be a sissy!
After 1 episode I just couldn't bring myself to watch it anymore. As much as I like Tim Rozon.
Schitt$ Creek: Rebound (2020)
Good Episode!
I can't believe it's over. Ted and Alexis loved each other enough to let each other go.
Schitt$ Creek: Happy Ending (2020)
This is the best ending for a show I have ever seen.
I think this is the best ending to a show I have ever seen in my life. Some shows are dropped by the network but this one had an emotional ring to it. It's better when shows go out with a bang rather than get dropped by the network in a whimper.
And to the commentor who said "David cheated on Patrick" no he didn't. Once David realized what a "Happy Ending" entailed he put a stop to it before it went too far and David did talk to Patrick and calmed him down him down.
Together We Stand (1986)
No Wonder This Show Is "Barely Memorable" It Didn't Even Get Through An Entire First Season
I don't even remember this show. I was nearly 10 years old and it's on a YouTube list of 21 Barely Memorable TV Sit-Coms From 1985-1989. WTF is so memorable about two parents and their kids?
Schitt$ Creek: Moira Rosé (2020)
I Can't Decide Who Does A Drunk Scene Better? Catherine or Dan?
This episode had me in hysterics. Nothing quite like a good drunk scene between Moira and David. Who does a drunk scene better? Catherine or Dan? With me it's a toss up because they both do drunk scenes and high scenes quite well.
Schitt$ Creek: Roadkill (2019)
This is my least favourite episode.
I don't know? Something about a cat getting hit by a car isn't especially funny to me. Maybe I'm just being a little overly sensitive but this episode really wasn't for me.
