I loved the satire and comedy elements of this. If I had not read that this was a black comedy, I may have been scratching my head a little, but having known that from the beginning, I absolutely loved it. Kristin Bell was perfect in this. All of the actors were great and it kept me guessing throughout. I actually laughed out loud several times. I watched the whole series in 1 day. I couldn't stop and I loved the subtle silliness of it. I gave it a 9 because I felt the ending was just SO out there, but I still absolutely loved it. Thank you, Netflix! Great job! I look forward to more shows like this from you.
I have watched this movie 5 times in the past month. I think I am a little obsessed with Edie Beale. She shows such joie de vivre in this film and is full of joy and wonder. The movie is wistful and at times bittersweet. I wish I could have known the Beales and visited them. They show such love and respect for each other. I also love Lois. This movie makes me nostalgic for the 1970s. I feel like I am in a time capsule. I actually prefer this movie to Grey Gardens; I felt that Edie's true personality, charm and joy was shown in a better light. Lois was also highlighted more. Love love love this movie. I will probably watch it a million more times. When I watch it, I feel like I am a friend visiting with them, passing the time and singing songs. It puts me at peace. Namaste.
I loved this show so much. The acting by Hazel (Cristin Milioti), Billy Magnussen (Byron Gogol) and Ray Romano was outstanding. However, I thought all of the acting was great. The show is quirky, funny and suspenseful all at once. It is a wonderful comedy drama. I watched both seasons in just a few days and I already miss it. I hope the 3rd season comes soon! Love love love it!
