This short story has a lot of charm. Its full-length, commercial effort feels like an attempt to fit in with Anglo productions; take a look at the soundtrack and the additional, unnecessary scenes. It's more like a whitewashed parody than a good adaptation.
But this one is marvelous and it's one of my favorite indie LGBT films. It's definitely worth watching.

I had hopes around episode two, "maybe it'll get better" and, well, it feels like that for the entire season, and such climax never comes.
They have some decent actors (keyword: some) but it's the show itself; it feels forced, calculated, and an even worse alternative to Netflix originals if you're looking for garbage entertainment.
Luckily, I'm not paying for my 1-month trial. If you're paying, I'd say, watch something else, because this lacks substance, joy, and, for the most part, creativity.
It's like they found the most complex way to produce a dull attempt at "binge-worthy content".
