Oppenheimer (2023)
Good movie, not a masterpiece
I finally watched this movie after reading so many enthusiastic reviews. I can say that movie is good but not so special to deserve so many attention. At the begging the career of the scientist is shown: you can understand how he created all his relationships but it looks a bit confusing. Later the project Manhattan starts and it is the most interesting part: you can understand the process and consequences of the atomic bomb. At the end there is the process with FBI: there are many quotations from American political scene that you can get lost.
About the cast I can say that it's really good, only I don't agree about the performance of Robert Downey Junior to win Golden Globe: I think there were better actors to deserve it.
Nolan directed the movie in a good way: I really liked how he was associating some scenes with the explosion of the bomb so to create more drama. I agree with other rewiers that the music is always the same for the movie.
Poor Things (2023)
Woman's condition
The movie explores the women's condition in our society trough the story of a girl who comes back to life. All her experience are a metaphore of real life, it makes you think what it is happening around us. Emma Stone is superlative in her role, Willem Defoe and Mark Ruffalo are the perfect supporting cast. The last point is about the director: he is able to show the story in a brilliant way passing from the back comedy (Tim Burton's style) to some dramatic scenes. The photography is changing during the movie, scenes are shown from different point of views. Also the music is perfect, it creates the atmosphere. The final result is an original movie, which analyses deeply our current.
Maestro (2023)
It could be better
I watched the movie because I was curious about the life of the composer. Unfortunately it shows only his private life, nothing about his career and ideas. The first part it's just a collection of sequences without any connection: you jump from a scene to another, there is no story. It looks like an album of family photos. It's the same about the characters: most of them appear and you don't know who are. The second part it's better, there is a common line between all the events.
If the the plot is not brilliant on the other side the images are well done, the 70s atmosohere is well represented, Carey Mulligan is great in her role.
The Gray Man (2022)
Waste of time
The movie has great cast, wonderful locations but the plot is so weak. It pretends to be an action movie but it's done in a very bad way.
It's a pity if you consider all the premises.

A funny movie, well directed and very good actors. The story doesn't follow strictly the real events, but you must appreciate the mood which is present.
Il Divin Codino (2021)
Good actors but the plot misses many important points
The life of Roberto Baggio was full of success and falls but the movie doesn't show all of them. It starts with his faith in Buddhism and suddenly jumps in the future, missing important events of his life. In. In this way people who aren't Italian can't understand how much he was popular and loved.
At least actors play quite well, espacially the one who represents him.
White Lines (2020)
It could be better
It starts as thriller, it goes on like soap opera.
I like flash back and character of Boxer. The plot is confused, too many stuff are mixed without any connection. It looks they wanted to accomplish as many people as possible.
You look till the end just to know the murdered.
6 Underground (2019)
What a waste of time!
I was expecting a good action movie but after watching it I was totally disappointed.
There is no plot at all, the director tries to be original and modern but without any result. Next time Netflix should spend their money better, big productions don't mean good results.

Good movie
The movie has a brilliant beginning and great music selection. Some scenes are very spectacular, the plot could be better in the second part.

Tough topic but you are involved in the story. The actress play very well, you feel close to them.

Good movie
This movie is very good d mainly for the interpretation of Joachin Phoenix. Also the direction and the screenplay are at the same level. It's worthy to be seen.
Vox Lux (2018)
A great cast in a very bad movie.
When I read the cast I was thinking to watch a great movie, but unfortunately it was such a bad experience. The plot is absent, you are confused and don't understand what it's happening. I suggest not watch it, spend your time better.

Very bad
The first episode wasn't so bad, but later the story became boring without any ideas and a lot of confusion. The actors don't play well unfortunately. It reminds me old soap opera but worse ones.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Good movie but a bit too long
Tarantino chooses a story located in the 70's, he has a great cast who play very well (especially Di Caprio). It's only too long but I wasn't bored. The final is great, it's worthy to wait. It's a very good movie, but not the best of his production. His fans will love it, the other ones will have to think before watching it.
Selling Sunset (2019)
Beautiful women, forget houses
The series is more focused on the legs of these sellers than about selling houses. It looks like a soap opera, it doesn't look real.
Triple Frontier (2019)
Good action movie
It's a good movie, you can watch it without any effort. There is tension till the end, the only point is the plot which lacks in some parts. I was expecting something more after reading the cast.

Funny
A funny series who shows the feelings of young people and their thoughts. It's brilliant with a very good cast.
The Alienist (2018)
Very good
I didn't know about this series, but after reading some reviews I was curious. The story is good, like as the cast. You are involved till the end. It was a nice surprise.
Bodyguard (2018)
Short and brilliant series
The series is very involving, every episodes has a surprise. Only the last one is not so brilliant, it finished quickly in a happy end like they are in a rush to do it.
Green Book (2018)
Great actors
The two actors play a great performance, their relationship lead the story trough the South part of Us, the more racist.
It's a nice story which you can watch till the end without being bored.
Wanderlust (2018)
Not bad
The actors are very good but the plot sometimes lacks. The point is that it's difficult to be involved, only the last episodes show the "heart" of this series.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Good but it could be much more better
The movie is good, but not a masterpiece. It's an American movie at the beginning, it looks like something you already watched. The second part is better, especially the final scene. I think they produced a movie for everyone, it lacks of analysis and a complete plot. Only some great scenes and a very good Remi Malek save the movie.
