Well, the subject of this hop fits me perfectly! My favourite season is Spring, my world is getting warmer (but not too warm like our Aussie summers) and an abundance of flowers are making their way into the world. My love of flowers definitely comes from both of my Nannas and my Mum, I have many memories of one Nanna pottering around in her endless garden when I was little, my other Nanna who had a whole side fence full of gorgeous Sweet Peas, and my sorely-missed Mum who adored Roses (especially pink ones), Bougainvillea and Peonies just to name a few.

This is such a fun picture and inspiration! So many bright colours and while I'm not the most avid fan of summer (I hate heat) the one thing that Aussie's love to do in summer is SWIM!

Happy New Year and welcome back to Just Add Ink! We are back for (hopefully a better) 2021 and we are kicking of the year with a blog hop! Our subject is family and we've all made projects that relate to family milesones, missing family, celebrating new family etc, especially during the very hard 2020 year.





So for me it was all about missing my family. I have family all over the state and being in Sydney we have been in lockdown due to COVID a few times and that has made it hard for me to catch up with my family, especially my mum who is immuno-compromised.

We have a big challenge today! Just Add Ink is kicking off it's 500th challenge with a blog hop! We've got a seriously easy challenge for you - just add a die cut word!





Challenges don't get more simple than this one, a chance to stretch your creativity! I decided I wanted to have a play with the Painted Poppies suite because I hadn't already done so, plus my seriously gorgeous niece is having a birthday so this seemed just perfect to kill two birds with one card!

I've got a little something different for you today, I'm joining in with a Blog Hop of lovely Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are banding together to share their stamping creations while 'locked away' at home. During these difficult times we want to share a little bit of happiness with you and perhaps inspire you to spend some time crafting to share some joy with others. Hopefully you've landed here from gorgeous Denita Wright-Smee's blog and her wonderful project, if not start here and work your way around.

Welcome! Today I am joining in a Guest Designer for my friend Kelly Kent's Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop! The theme for the hop is Australia, which is really suitable at the moment with Australia Day being on January 26 and all the horrible devastation that is happening here right now.



I decided to take inspiration from those horrible headlines surrounding the Australian bushfires for my card for this hop and I used the kangaroo and koala image from the Animal Outing stamp set, two animals which have really been impacted by our fires.

Welcome to 2020 and a new year with Just Add Ink! We are kicking off the year with a blog hop and our theme is 'Celebration' in honour of our 10th year and also hitting 1000 followers on our Facebook page!





You may have hopped here from Nikki's blog or you may be starting the hop here but regardless I know you will be flawed by the Design Team's creations for our annual hop.

I wanted to use a new set for my project so I chose the Painted Poppies from the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue. With a thick Whisper White card base I popped in a Purple Posy layer to set off the watercoloured background. Not having the matching DSP yet this gave me a chance to play with colours for my poppies and I ended up using Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride, with Granny Apple Green for the leaves. I've set the colours off with some gold accents and the gorgeous Flax ribbon.





As part of our milestone celebrations the design team are offering prizes. Our Top Pick & Honourable Mentions will receive a special gift. We'll be choosing some other entries to receive a little something also - to be eligible all you have to do is leave a comment on each of the blogs along the hop - 14 stops in total. Prizes include stamp sets, card kits, embossing folders, ribbons, rhinestones, handmade cards/tags....

PLEASE NOTE: Prizes are only eligible to South Pacific (Australia & New Zealand) entries - sorry to those of you from all around the world, postage prices are very steep these days.
