This collection documents the long cultural and institutional histories of two Philadelphia institutions: The Academy of Music and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

The Archives were donated to the Penn Libraries in 2022. They will be made accessible to researchers and the public after being processed and cataloged. Further information is below.

Researchers should be aware that materials by and related to Eugene Ormandy are cataloged in a number of different collections, corresponding either to the physical format of the materials or to their source.
