On Nov. 6, the city of Aurora, along with government and nonprofit partners, celebrated the completion of the Aurora Regional Navigation Campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This marks a significant step forward in addressing homelessness in Aurora. The innovative facility, located at 15500 E. 40th Ave., will accommodate up to 600 participants and will officially open for services on Monday, Nov. 17. Our I-70 Picadilly Interchange project is substantially complete, and we celebrated this week with a ribbon cutting ceremony! The project, which will be fully open to travelers by Thanksgiving (weather-permitting) will improve north-south connectivity, improve safety, alleviate congestion and connect people and commerce to job centers, new neighborhoods and the nation's third busiest airport. Aurora Public Library no longer charges late fees on overdue items; no holds expire on closed days. • Aurora Animal Shelter, closed. The City of Aurora 2025 Business Opportunity Fair drew a record 300 attendees, doubling last year's turnout. Thanks to all the businesses that participated and helped make this event a success! The business fair helped connect contractors and vendors interested in doing business with the city, providing insight into upcoming opportunities in design consulting, construction, operations and maintenance services. The council's Study Session begins at 4:35 p.m. A Public Comment Listening Session begins at 6 p.m. The council's Regular Meeting will begin 10 minutes after the conclusion of the Public Comment Listening Session, but no earlier than 6:10 p.m. and no later than 6:45 p.m. The meetings can be viewed at AuroraTV.org, on Comcast 8/880 in Aurora, or on the AuroraTV streaming app. View the meeting agendas at https://lnkd.in/gyqcJ7jP.
