  • Brand Purpose, as we knew it, may be dead. But doing good? It’s only getting stronger. Amy Williams has just kicked off the #GoodStrategies series, an honest reflection spotlighting the brands and businesses that continue to inspire and shape culture. The series aims to spark a conversation about what is being done, what isn’t, and how we can explore new paradigms for responsible business. Keep your eyes peeled for this timely and necessary discussion.

I’ve built my whole career on Brand Purpose. And now I think it might be dead. We killed it with hubris. We killed it with rainbow logos in June, half-baked ESG reports, and empty gestures chasing the cultural moment. Brand Purpose was easy to conceive and, it turns out, just as easy to dismantle. But doing good isn’t dead. It’s just grown teeth. That’s why I’m launching this #GoodStrategies series. 🎥 Twice a week, I’ll aim to share short reflections, spotlighting the brands and businesses that continue to inspire me. 📖 Once a quarter, I’ll go deeper with a long-form piece, reflecting on the themes that emerge from my research. My goal is to provoke a new, more honest conversation between corporate and citizen about what is, and isn’t, being done - and why. I want us all to be better equipped to cut through the fluff, ditch the empty promises, and explore new, *irrefutable* paradigms for responsible business. Because bland brands simply don’t win. So I'm not giving in.

Sustainability in advertising requires more than promises — it needs accountability. Today we announced that IAS and Good-Loop, a certified B corp, are rolling out advanced emissions measurement, enabling every IAS customer — at no additional cost — to seamlessly track the emissions of every ad impression and reduce environmental impact. Over the last three years, our work with Good-Loop and early adopters led us to establish crucial benchmarks, all while supporting the Advertising Association and Ad Net Zero in the development of a universal industry standard. • A $4.1 trillion market you can’t afford to ignore. The U.S. Hispanic and Latino economy is now the 5th largest in the world, representing nearly 20% of the country’s GDP. But the real story? They are a major economic force and a huge growth opportunity. Their attention is extremely valuable. ✅ 84% prefer brands that play a positive role in their family and community. ✅ 65% pay attention to brands that consistently support them. ✅ Yet only 32% feel their values align with big companies. That gap is your opportunity to connect with this audience through authenticity, consistency, and respect. 🎯 See how we helped brands like Cheetos strengthen their bond with Latinx audiences through our donation-powered Good Engagement platform: https://lnkd.in/gvfuXqZB #HispanicHeritageMonth #PurposeDrivenMarketing

The Lionesses have done it again, and it’s not just a win on the pitch, it’s a win for every brand that backs belief over bandwagons. ⚽🦁 From packed stadiums to prime-time visibility, women’s football is no longer a rising trend, it is the moment! And brands that have invested in the game early - like Nike, EE, Adobe, PepsiCo, Barclays, Lidl GB - are now reaping the rewards of doing good and doing ✨smart marketing✨. But the story doesn’t end at the final whistle. The momentum is real, and now is the time to double down. Because when girls and young women see women winning, they start to believe they can too. It’s time to fund grassroots programmes, spotlight female athletes, and support the stories that deserve more screen time. 💪 Organisations like Goals 4 Girls, Her Game Too, Women in Football, Women in Sport, are already leading the charge, and brands have the power to amplify their impact. When you really show up for women’s football, fans notice. And loyalty follows. This isn’t a sponsorship opportunity, it’s a cultural movement. Backing it means staying relevant, resonant, and remembered. 👉 See how we help you support good causes at scale through your media spend: https://good-loop.com/ #Lionesses #WomensFootball #PurposeDrivenMarketing

I spoke with Wayne Blodwell about 'hiding vegetables in your dinner' when it comes to doing good with your ad dollars. There are 👏 so 👏 many 👏 ways 👏 that doing good also delivers better business outcomes - so no need to get preachy or 'woke', let's just talk about buying better media. Shout out to: - Mélanie BRINBAUM who massively inspired me during her session in Cannes, sharing a personal example where the long-term-view required short-term-bravery and, - Celine Largy, who continues to be one of the most forward-thinking brand leaders when it comes to sustainability in advertising. https://lnkd.in/eH48GR3z
