The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Final Rule is now in effect. 📝 As of November 10, 2025, defense contractors and suppliers handling Federal Contract Information (FCI) or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) must meet new CMMC requirements, including verified cybersecurity practices and ongoing compliance throughout the life of a contract. With the Department of Defense emphasizing accountability and continuous validation, organizations across the Defense Industrial Base will need to demonstrate their cybersecurity posture with accuracy and confidence. From my time with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration to Portfolium (Acquired by Instructure), and now with Drata, the experience of proving and earning trust has been a constant theme throughout my career.
