Updates

  • Introducing Plan Mode. You shouldn't need a perfect prompt to get a good result. Manus now plans before it builds — turning rough ideas into clear specs. You check the plan, not the output → Researches feasibility before building → Surfaces edge cases you didn't think of → Produces a full plan from one sentence → Nothing ships until you confirm Plan first, build once. Available on web and mobile

  • New: Our newly launched Google Workspace connector now supports Multi-Account functionality. You can now securely link up to 10 different accounts at the same time. One Manus, multiple workspaces.

  • Ascendea builds AI-powered CRM and automation systems for UK small businesses. Today, their 10-person team serves 112 clients and coordinates 28 to 33 live workflows, reporting a 90x increase in workforce output. It started as a side project. Team members who had never written a prompt were getting consistent, usable results on complex multi-step tasks from day one. That was enough to bring Manus into Ascendea’s production workflows. The team gave it a permanent role and a name: James. Rob used James to systematically centralize operational knowledge previously stored in individual expertise and chat logs. In a single day, Manus documented 303 SOPs. That work became the foundation for an entire operating system. Ascendea now runs a three-layer workforce. Six local agents handle repetitive scheduled tasks. Three Slack agents support the team’s daily work. Manus sits at the top. It handles context-heavy work like strategy, technical architecture, and M&A prospecting. For tasks requiring deep context or complex reasoning, the workflow seamlessly escalates to Manus. Even with that level of automation, the final judgment stays with the people. By delegating the heavy lifting of research and execution to Manus, Ascendea’s team has evolved their roles. They now focus entirely on setting strategic direction and exercising high-level judgment, fundamentally transforming how they operate. Your team already has the expertise to scale. Don't let it remain siloed in chat histories or isolated to a few key individuals. Build the system, delegate the execution, and use AI to amplify the judgment you already have. Royston Chan's 9-5 is in tech, but on weekends, he feeds 500+ people at his apartment-run barbecue smokehouse with the help of Manus. He's one of the first founders I covered, and his story feels particularly relatable, because like a lot of us, he has a full-time job, but still has a dream he keeps coming back to. Royston Chan started Mandai Smokehouse because of his love for Texas barbecue. But as a small business, his software needs were constantly changing. Enterprise tools were too expensive, so he built his own with Manus, starting with a food prep calculator, and then gradually expanding it to include delivery coordination, an ordering system, and even a portal for messaging customers and getting feedback. As a small team of just him, his girlfriend, and parents, he was able to scale from a weekend side project to serving 500+ people a month and growing. Sometimes AI feels primarily focused on automation and efficiency in a corporate setting. But Royston's story is a reminder that it can also help everyday people pursue the things they really care about. That's the kind of usage that gets me excited. If you're ever in Singapore, be sure to swing by Mandai Smokehouse. And order in advance — I heard they sell out quickly ;)
