Today, we’re launching Learn AI with Manus, a global programme for partners helping people build practical AI capability. The idea is simple: access to powerful AI tools should come with the guidance, practice, and support people need to use them well. One model for this is taking shape in Singapore. Manus is joining the Singapore Government’s SkillsFuture AI Subscription initiative, which gives eligible Singaporeans taking selected Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA)-supported AI courses six months of free access to a premium AI tool. Alternatively, learners can opt for Singtel AI Pass to explore Manus alongside other premium AI tools for three months, before continuing with their preferred tool for another three months. Both pathways help learners put their new skills into practice beyond the course. This builds on work already underway: → Manus Academy provides a free, self-directed starting point. → Heicoders Academy and RISE by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) bring Manus into structured, hands-on programmes where learners apply AI to real needs. → Hackathons and community programmes help students, professionals, and business owners move from ideas to working outcomes. We have seen what practical AI capability can unlock. Noelle Fleur built an AI bouquet visualiser without coding, while Mandai Smoke Co. developed a system that supports its planning, orders, deliveries, and customer communication. Now we want to work with more learning partners around the world. The Learn AI with Manus program is open to training providers, national AI and workforce programmes, universities, vocational institutions, industry associations, and learning communities. Manus can support these partnerships with technology access, train-the-trainer sessions, Academy resources, relevant use cases, co-designed solutions, and support for events and communities. Today, Manus AI published the story of Wally—the personal voice companion I built for my brother Jamie after cancer surgery took away his ability to speak. Since this story was written, Jamie has passed away. Sharing it now is hard. But I am sharing it because he deserves to be known—and because what we built together deserves to move forward. I am an AI builder. This is not my first AI build, but it is the one I am most proud of. My background is not in software engineering. It is in understanding people, building community, and seeing unmet needs. Learning how to build with AI gave me a way to turn that understanding into a working product. When Jamie lost his voice, I did not wait for a traditional company, a long product roadmap, or someone else to decide that this problem mattered enough. I built around his real life. Wally gave him a fast way to speak when he needed help. It held the emergency information his family needed close at hand. It gave loved ones a private place to leave messages. It connected to a small speaker he could wear. And it gave him reasons to open it every day: golf news, tournament predictions, live scores, trivia, and a little friendly rivalry. Jamie called Wally his “new buddy.” That is the part that stays with me. Communication technology for someone who has lost speech cannot be merely functional. It has to preserve identity. It has to understand that one person comes alive through golf, another through tennis and faith, another through music, gardening, work, grandchildren, a dog, or the people they love. The goal is not simply to give someone words. It is to help them stay connected to their own world. I am incredibly proud of what Jamie and I built together. I am also just getting started. I am exploring how to carry forward what Wally taught me: deeply personalized, privacy-conscious communication companions for people whose speech or communication has changed—built with dignity, family, identity, and real life at the center. 2 months ago, we opened submissions for our Small Business Showcase. We wanted to see how business owners were using Manus in the work. We received so many thoughtful submissions. As part of this transition and to comply with regulatory requirements in specific jurisdictions, some users will need to back-up their data before 7:59 a.m. on August 23, 2026 (SGT) and then restore data starting from 8:00 a.m on August 25, 2026 (SGT) to ensure normal usage.
