Three days in New York. A room full of leading food creators. Big conversations about what it takes to keep growing when the playbook is changing. At Building What’s Next, we talked candidly about AI, search, social, audience ownership, and how creators can build businesses that aren’t dependent on any single platform. The takeaway? Things may not be the same As It Was, but this is far from the end of the road. It’s a moment to experiment, adapt, and build with more intention. A huge thank you to Bjork and Lindsay Ostrom of Pinch of Yum and Kaitlin and Bill Leung of The Woks of Life for sharing their experiences so openly. Their advice was clear: stay authentic, test what works for your business, and use AI to support your expertise—not replace the trust that makes it valuable. And because three days of Late Night Talking deserve a memorable finale, we capped off the event with Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden. 🪩 We’re proud to keep building what’s next alongside creators. #CreatorGrowth #FoodCreators #CreatorEconomy #Raptive

This week in NYC, we joined media leaders for the inaugural TRB Audience Summit, presented by Raptive. Across the day’s conversations, one theme was impossible to miss: AI is reshaping how audiences discover content and forcing media companies to rethink how they build direct, lasting relationships with them. But as discovery changes, the importance of brand and trust only grows—a message that surfaced in nearly every session and a topic we’ll have more to share on soon. We were also proud to sponsor the happy hour, where the conversations continued and new connections were made beyond the stage. The energy in the room and across NYC made it the perfect setting to discuss what’s next for the industry. Thank you to Brian Morrissey and the entire The Rebooting team for the thoughtful coordination that made the event’s first year such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one! #TRBAudienceSummit #DigitalMedia #AI

Some of the most valuable conversations at Digiday Publishing Summit happened after the sessions ended. In this ever-changing industry, there’s real value in bringing leaders together to talk candidly about what they’re seeing, what they’re navigating, and where the biggest opportunities are emerging. We gathered an exclusive group of media company executives at the beautiful, historic Chateau ZZ’s in Miami for an intimate dinner built around exactly that: meaningful conversation and genuine connection. Because as technology reshapes how we work and AI changes how we communicate, human connection only becomes more important. The chance to sit across the table, exchange perspectives, build relationships, and learn from one another is something we don’t take for granted. Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a memorable evening, and to Digiday for continuing to create spaces where the industry can come together. #DigidayPublishingSummit #MediaIndustry #DigitalPublishing #Raptive

Paying publishers for content used in AI may sound like progress. But payment alone does not equal fair compensation. Google is testing a program that pays publishers when their content contributes to responses across Gemini, AI Overviews, and AI Mode. Based on what we know today, Raptive does not recommend that creators and publishers participate. The payments are extremely small, with little transparency into when content is used, how much it contributes, or how Google determines its value. Accepting nominal payments now could also help establish the idea that publishers are already being fairly compensated when the economics are far from meaningful. We want Google and other AI companies to compensate publishers for the content powering their products. But the bar cannot simply be that they’re paying something. Publishers deserve meaningful economics, real transparency, and a voice in determining the value of their work. The creator economy is entering a new era, one where creators aren’t just building audience reach. They’re building businesses rooted in owned, direct relationships. That’s why we launched Raptive Community: to give creators a dedicated space to deepen relationships with their audiences, protect those connections from shifting algorithms, and unlock a new revenue stream through a 50/50 share of advertising revenue. Thank you to ADWEEK and TheWrap for recognizing what this launch represents for creator business models and the future of community. A higher revenue share doesn’t always mean more revenue. When Plugged In Golf switched to Raptive, the team wanted stronger monetization without creating a heavier ad experience for its readers. Within two weeks, RPM was 169% higher. From February through June, RPM increased 129% year over year. The difference went beyond ad units: a lighter implementation, site-specific testing, clearer reporting, and an ongoing strategy designed around their content and audience.
