    Creating a new healthcare system.

Had a great time at the Healthcare x AI meetup last week at Soho House & Co hosted by Turmerik + Ayushi Sinha and Redesign Health! Three major takeaways: 1) Incredible talent density in NYC. After two months in SF, it was energizing to find the same caliber of technical and clinical minds here, plus the unrivaled Big Apple energy (sorry SF). 2) Numerous trojan‑horse paths to an “AI doctor”. Everyone is embedding clinical intelligence, be it billing rails, D2C chatbots, or wearable tech, with the same end goal. 3) The time to create something is now. The cultural zeitgeist, interoperable data APIs, and frontier AI models are aligning to expand the cost‑quality‑access Pareto curve in a way that healthcare hasn’t seen before. Fun video since I found my old Sony recorder.

  • 🎓 Congratulations to our teammate Tanvi Mittal on her graduation from Carnegie Mellon University with her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with an additional major in Biomedical Engineering! • Congrats to Linda Saikali! She just started at Cooper for residency! Huge shoutout to Linda for her incredible work at Turmerik! 🚀 From evaluating the accuracy of our OCR pipeline on complex medical data, to diving deep into datasets like MIMIC-IV and UK Biobank for patient-trial matching, Linda brought both precision and curiosity to every project. She also designed a thoughtful rubric to assess how well large language models (like GPT-4 and Gemini) can generate clinical trial protocols — and benchmarked them against real-world stroke management standards. Grateful for her sharp thinking, collaborative spirit, and genuine passion for building AI tools that matter in healthcare. #AIinHealthcare #ClinicalTrials #DataScience #residency #medicine #TeamTurmerik #AI #healthcare

  • Congrats to Rebecca John and Ayushi Sinha and thank you Oscar Wong for the opportunity to share about how we are building the future of AI and healthcare!
