  • Care for care coordinators starts here. Among the many responsibilities of care coordinators, patient transportation is one of the biggest sources of friction—with missed appointments leading to rescheduling, more documentation, and even frustrated patients and providers. Coordinating patient transportation shouldn’t be a constant source of stress, and with Uber Health, it doesn’t have to be. • Did you know missed visits cost this much? Making healthcare appointments accessible for patients means reducing costs and improving operational efficiencies for organizations. Seamless care starts with how they get there.

Flexibility, now on-demand. Uber Health Partnerships Associate, Swikriti D. shares how adopting our rider self-booking feature can reduce administrative burden for coordinators, while scaling independence and health outcomes for patients and self-directed members.

  • On the path to recovery, transportation helps fuel success. South Shore Peer Recovery helps people find stability, connection, and hope in their recovery from addiction. A key part of that support is access to recovery coaching, support groups, skill-building programs, and community spaces—made possible through free transportation managed by staff. After introducing Uber Health, their transportation program was transformed: 🔹340 rides provided through Uber Health in 2025 🔹75% reduction in transportation costs (compared to leasing a van) Now, South Shore Peer Recovery can scale its access to care when people need support the most. https://bit.ly/42JmLOk

    • A quote from Mark Mulhern, Executive Director of South Shore Peer Recovery, is displayed against a blurred city street background. The quote reads: "We ran a pilot with Uber Health, and peers and staff loved it. Uber rides immediately became our primary mode of transportation support." The image is branded with "Uber Health."

Earlier this week, we hosted our first-ever I/DD Summit at our Mission Bay headquarters in San Francisco, bringing together leadership from 12 regional centers across California. Together, we explored how rideshare can help address transportation barriers and expand access to care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Thank you to Cambrian Financial Management Services for sharing the impact your clients have experienced using Uber Health—and to Inland Regional Center for highlighting the importance of rideshare and the challenges it can solve for. We’re looking forward to continuing the conversation on how rideshare can support the I/DD community to scale independence and modernize non-medical transportation.

  • Did you know that 1 in 5 US patients miss necessary medical care—whether it’s appointments or prescription pick-ups—due to a lack of transportation? Uber Health aims to improve the delivery of care by connecting people to the goods and services they need to stay healthy. In a way, it’s just what the doctor ordered. 😉

    • A blister pack of blue and white capsules is shown with arrows pointing to three phrases: "Reduced costs," "Improved care access," and "One centralized platform." The text at the top reads, "The Rx for results in care," and "Uber Health" is written at the bottom.
