Flashfright is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party 7.
Overview[edit]
The game takes place at night where the courtyard is decorated by several Shy Guy statues and fountains. The solo player runs around with a flashlight, trying to catch the team players, who must use their environment to avoid capture. Players caught in the light are eliminated, with a Fly Guy appearing to carry them off. If any of the team players manage to avoid getting caught for 30 seconds, they win. The solo player wins if they manage to catch all of the team players.
The solo player does their winning animation as the team players are removed by Fly Guys. If the team players win, the solo player exits the courtyard after looking around, while the team players perform their winning animations.

Notes[edit]
- In this minigame, if the team players win, the characters do their winning animations after the winning music starts playing and the winning text is displayed. Exclusive to the PAL version, when the solo player wins, the winning text is displayed after the character does their winning animation and the winning music starts playing. This is the only minigame where this occurs, suggesting that this is an error.
