Hachisuke is a hornet that served as the mascot of the former video game developer Hudson Soft, appearing as part of the company's logo. It is a reference to the Hudson Hornet, a sedan from the 1950s built by the unrelated Hudson Motor Car Company. Hachisuke appears in several games developed by Hudson Soft, including as an item in Super Mario Bros. Special, where it can be found exclusively inside a Hidden Block in World 1-1 and awards 8,000 points.
