Rollodillo is a boss in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is fought in the Boulder Bowl Galaxy in the mission Rock and Rollodillo. Rollodillo shares its boss theme with Sorbetti, Prince Pikante, and Peewee Piranha.

Appearance[edit]

Rollodillo is a large, blue creature resembling an armadillo. It has a pointed snout, a pair of brown, rocky horns, and a pair of yellow and red eyes. The majority of its body is covered in brown rocks while the rest of its body is largely covered in blue fur and, under the rocks on its torso, scutes.

Battle[edit]

Rollodillo attacks by charging at Mario and rolling around the planetoid like a boulder. In order to damage the boss, Mario must transform into a boulder in his Rock form and ram into Rollodillo's backside, with the easier opportunity being when it is dizzy after it stops rolling. Attempting to attack its rear with a Spin Attack will not deal any damage to it. Mario must successfully attack it four times in order to defeat it, with Rollodillo rolling in more rapid bursts for each hit landed. Upon defeat, Rollodillo lands on its back and curls up before exploding, granting Mario the Power Star.
