Super Mario: Yoshi Island 3 is the thirty-fifth volume of Kodansha's Super Mario manga published under the KC Deluxe label.
This volume covers the main after-story of the Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island story arc, in which Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, and Yoshi become Baby Peach's bodyguards.
The chapters were originally serialized in BomBom Comic from April to June 1996 and BomBom Haru-yasumi Zōkan-gō of the same year (released in April).

- In chapter 3's cover, through a dialogue between Baby Bowser and Baby Mario, the author explains he will not do a Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars adaptation, on account of both (possible) copyright issues and less freedom in the storytelling department in a story-driven game.
