Writing Week 2

L. Standard(s): 3.2.3, 3.3.1
L. Objective (s): Pupils should be able to:
i. Punctuate correctly using comma.
ii. Able to create simple sentence using variety of media
iii. Asking and answering simple WH questions.

Teaching Aids Picture cards, paper, marker, speaker.
Activities:



Introduction : Video
1. Teacher shows a video to pupils in class.
2. Teacher then ask pupils about their special recipe to cook.

Activity 1:
Pre:
1. Teacher shows the pupil few pictures of food in front of the class.
2. Teacher pronounces their names to the pupils.
3. Repeat the pronunciation a few times loudly.
4. Then teacher writes down the names in a wrong spelling.
5. Teacher asks pupils to come in front and write the right spelling.
Example: gojgnig = jogging

6. Repeat the activity with other pupils.

Activity 2:
While:
1. Teacher divides the pupils into a few groups.
2. Teacher provides each group with a set of pictures of food, paper
and marker.
3. Teacher writes down simple sentence using the list of pictures on
the whiteboard and stress the use of comma.
Example: I like to eat chicken rice, satay, mango juice and laksa.
4. Repeat activity with a few sentences.
5. Teacher asks the pupils to do the same in their group which is
making sentences using comma.


Activity 3
Post:
1. Teacher shows a video about how to make a fried rice to the pupils
2. Pupils need to write 4 sentences about the recipe using comma.
3. Teacher will guide the pupils to write.




Closure:
1. Teacher plays a game rearrange the words to from sentence in the
class
2. Teacher guides the pupils in the game and then make a conclusion
about the class today.
