SCRIPT Cast: St. Ignatius(Ian), Back-up(Nio), Narrator 1(Kevin), Narrator 2(Kyle), Props guy(Xandro) SCENE 1 N1 St.

Ignatius was a miserable man at this point: one of his legs was shorter than the other, and he was sure his life as a soldier would never continue. N2 He lay down on his bed, and bored, requested for some books to read to pass the time. Later will he know that these books will change his life forever. Ig May I request some romance novels, lady? Nurse Im so sorry sire, but only Life of Christ and Book of Saints are available in our roster. Ig Very well. Bring them to me. (sighs) Nurse (Comes back with the books and then hands them over) Enjoy, sire. (Leaves through door, changes costume to Moor) N1 Ignatius began reading these books and the more he found out about the amazing life of Jesus and how he saints lived, the more he changed from his previous life. N2 He admired these saints and saw life in a new perspective. He thought he could do things for Christ now, instead of just for his kingdom. N1 When Ignatius recoverd to a point that he could travel, he left the castle and decided to head toward Jerusalem. SCENE 2 N1 As he was traveling to Barcelona, he came across a Moor. N2 He and the Moor were both on mules, and they started to debate on religious matters. Ignatius may have changed his ways, but he has not yet fully understood the meaning of true charity and Christian understanding. Ig What do you know about the Blessed Virgin Mary? Moor I say (Pauses for a while) She is not a virgin after she bore Jesus Christ. Ig (Looks away form the Moor and whispers to himself) If my mule leads me with the Moor on the forked path, I shall take out his heart, for his belief insults me and the Church.

Ig and Moor (Starts walking at opposite sides of the fork) SCENE 3 N1 He proceeded to the Benedictine shrine of Our Lady of Monserrat. He made a confession and knelt in vigil in front of Our Ladys altar. N2 He offered his sword and knife and left it on the altar. After leaving the shrine, he found a poor man and bargained his fine steel armor clothing for ragged clothes. SCENE 4 (All gather in front of class at stage then bow together. Introduce each character.) FIN
