I. Introduction (Introdductory Paragraph)

A. General Statement :_______________________________________

B. Thesis statement : There are four parts to make an apple pie, they are
(1) Making the pastry dough; (2) mixing the apple filling;

(3) assembling the pie; (4) baking the apple pie.

II. Body (Body Paragraphs)

A. Topic Sentence (BP 1) : Part one of four is making the pastry dough.

1. Supporting sentence 1 : Whisk the flour, sugar, and salt.


2. Supporting sentence 2 : Cut the butter into 1,3 cm cubes and mix it in bowl.
3. Supporting sentence 3 : Stir in ½ cup of cold water to make a shaggy dough.
4. Supporting sentence 4 : Roll the dough into a 25x38 cm rectangle.
5. Supporting sentence 5 : Fold the rectangle twice to make a small, thick
rectangle.
6. Supporting sentence 6 : Divide the dough into 2 equal portions.

B. Topic sentence (BP 2) : Part two of four is mixing the apple filling.

1. Supporting sentence 1 : Shake the brown sugar, salt, and spices in a


sealable plastic bag.
2. Supporting sentence 2 : Peel core, and cut the apples into 1,3 cm slices.
3. Supporting sentence 3 : Add the apples to the bag and shake them.
4. Supporting sentence 4 : Let the apples rest in the bag at room temperature
for 3 hours.
5. Supporting sentence 5 : Add the tapioca starch and shake the bag.

C. Topic Sentence (BP 3) : Part three of four is assembling the pie.

1. Supporting sentence 1 : Roll half of the dough into a 35,5 cm circle and lay
it in a pie dish.
2. Suppporting sentene 2 : Lay the pastry in a 22 cm pie plate and trim the
edges of the dough.
3. Supporting sentence 3 : Roll the remaining half of the dough into a 35.5 cm
circle.
4. Supporting sentence 4 : Cover and chill the pastry for 2 hours.
5. Supporting sentence 5 : Spread the apple filling into the pastry lined shell.
6. Supporting sentence 6 : Lay the top pie crust over the filling and seal the
edges.

D. Topic sentence (BP 4) : Part four of four is baking the apple pie.

1. Supporting sentence 1 : Preheat the oven to 400 F (204 C) and chill the pie
for 30 minutes.
2. Supporting sentence 2 : Beat the egg, yolk, cream, and salt to make the egg
wash.
3. Supporting sentence 3 : Brush the egg wash over the top of the pie and cut
6 vents in the pastry.
4. Supporting sentence 4 : Set the pie on a baking sheet and bake it for 75
minutes.
5. Supporting sentence 5 : Cool the pie for at least 1 hour before you serve it.

III. Conclusion (Concluding Paragraph).


All in all, there are four part or steps to make an apple pie, first, making the pastry dough;
second, mixing the apple filling; third, assembling the pie; the last, baking the apple pie,
and if you want to make a delicious apple pie, you must follow the steps above.
