Searching of Antihypertensive Active Compound From Ethyl Acetate SUBFRACTION OF ROSELLE (Hibiscus Sabdariffa L.) PETALS

This study aimed to identify antihypertensive compounds from the ethyl acetate subfraction of roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) petals. The ethyl acetate subfraction was separated into three subfractions (Hs-II-A, Hs-II-B, Hs-II-C) using vacuum liquid chromatography. These subfractions were tested for their ability to lower blood pressure in hypertensive rats. The results showed that subfraction Hs-II-B had the highest antihypertensive activity, with a 20.08% reduction in systolic blood pressure and 19.18% reduction in diastolic blood pressure.
