II. BRIEF DISCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT/ BUSINESS

The proposed project will be named as “Medallon Computer Hardware &

Repair Shop”. The word “Medallon” came from the combination of the

surnames of the entrepreneurs which is BarraMEDA and ReLLON. The project

will be located at the San Juan, Polangui, Albay which is near the college

universities, schools and other businesses. The project aims to put up trusted

and professional services to help the customers in repairing computer

peripherals and also sells computer parts. The repairing services will reach

the satisfactory of the customers and also offer upgrades of their computers/

laptops but it will depend on the customers if they want to. The products

offered by the business have very good specifications.

shop will not only offer computer repairs but will also offer limited software

installation. Since software is evolving much more rapidly than hardware, our

Target Market

Computer Hardware and Repair Shop is very important for those people

who have their own computers. It is very useful nowadays in terms of making

school projects, doing researches and in storing data. The repair shop will offer a

service for affordable price which depends on the damage of the computer.

The Students

We can say that most of the students in this generation have their own

laptops. So that they can make their projects in school and it can be used in

reporting to class. As the time pass by, the number of students who have laptops

and desktop computers are increasing. They have desktop computers with

printer to get the output copy of the document.

Business Users

The known business whose using computers are the computer shops in

Polangui. Many of them have their own computer technicians to check and for

maintenance of the computers. But if the technicians cannot fix the computer it

is recommended to go to the repair shop to run diagnostics and will know the

damaged part.

In this generation, there are always people who are using computers in an

area. The residents who are inside the location’s area are one of the target

markets of the business. There are about 90% of the populations who are using

computers.

The pricing will depend on the damage. If it’s not that hard to repair or no

need to replace parts it will be affordable. The profit must balance so it will avoid

bankruptcy and to maintain its service to the customer. Table 1A, Table 1B and

Project Location

One of the most important factors of a business in order for it to be

profitable is the project location. The business, Medallon Computer Hardware

and Repair Shop will be located at Centro Occidental, Polangui, Albay which is in

the middle of Casa Cazuela and The Planet of the Vapes and near at Polangui

South Central Elementary School. The total area of the land is 80 square meters

which will cost Php 104,500.00. The location is well suited for the business

because it is just near from the schools, residential areas and other

establishments where lots of students, teachers, residents, and businessmen use

computers or laptops.
