PROJECT PROPOSAL
I. TITTLE: : Symposium on STRUT ( Students Today Road User Tommorrow)

II. PROPONENT : SANSON P. OROZCO ( ARALING PANLIPUNAN DEPT.)

III. RATIONALE

Roads are essential to our everyday lives. We all use them in some way, by driving,
riding, walking or travelling as a passenger, and we depend on them to obtain goods and
services.
Unfortunately, this comes at a price, which includes people being killed and injured. However,
road deaths and injuries are not inevitable. It has demonstrated that effective and
comprehensive road safety strategies can reduce the number of people killed or injured on the
road, despite increasing traffic levels. Realizing the significance of Road safety to students,
Camaligan National High School thru the help of LTO Naga will conduct 2 days Symposium on
Students Today Road User Tomorrow for the school year 2018- 2019. STRUT program is
considered to be a sound investment in Education.
IV. OBJECTIVES
The program aims to do the following:
a. Students will be able to identify types of traffic and know that it may be dangerous.
b. Students will recognize the different parts of the road and know how to behave on each.
c. Students will have the skills and knowledge to cross the road safely.
d. Students can identify potential hazards when walking or cycling in their local community
and can use appropriate strategies to keep themselves safe.

e. Students understand the importance of being a good role model to others when using the
road.
f. Students can provide help to other road users in need of assistance.
g. Students can make an informed choice to comply with the drinking and driving laws.
h. Students describe safe ways to carry out leisure activities that take place on roadways.
