Removal Procedure
Start By:

a. Remove the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install" for the
correct procedure.

Typical example

1. Make a temporary mark on fan drive assembly (2) in order to identify the orientation and the
position.

2. Remove bolts (1) from fan drive assembly (2).

3. Remove fan drive assembly (2).

Typical example

1. Check the fan drive for wear and damage. If the fan drive is worn or damaged, replace the fan
drive.

2. Install fan drive assembly (2).

Note: Ensure that the fan drive is correctly oriented.

3. Install bolts (1) finger tight to fan drive assembly (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 44 N·m
(32 lb ft).

End By:

a. Install the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install" for the correct
procedure.
