Section Four: Alignment to Curriculum & Professional Standards
Introduction
Section four of the MSED portfolio is the Alignment to Curriculum & Professional
Standards, which connect to the curriculum and professional standards to the artifacts that were
listed in section three. For each artifact provided in the previous section, this section will allow

curriculum are broken down.
The professional standards are applied to ensure that every student is provided with an
appropriate and fair education, and that teachers abide by the code(s) of ethics in the classroom,
in the school and beyond. Though section three provided a series of artifacts developed during
my studies at Medaille College along with curriculum and professional standards, section four
will address the alignment between the artifacts and the curriculum and professional standards,
along with my ability and knowledge as a teacher candidate. A graphic organizer in the form of a
chart will depict the professional and curriculum standards to showcase my best teaching
practices, pedagogical knowledge and my ability to be an inspirational and supportive teacher
candidate.
