Topic: Concept of ethnicity

Objectives:
   1. Understand the concept of human cultural variations, social differences, social
      changes, and political identities on the concept of ethnicity
   2. Examine the different ethnic groups in the Philippines and the current issues regarding
      this concept.
   3. Appreciate by having open minded on the importance of studying the ethnicity in
      making sense of one’s personal and social life.
Materials:
   a. PowerPoint Presentation
   b. References: Teaching Guide, Learner’s Material
Procedure:
   a. Preparatory activities
      1. Prayer
      2. Checking of Attendance
   b. Development of the Lesson
      1. Motivation
          The teacher will present a picture and they will identify it whether Tribal or
            Ethno-linguistic group.
    2. Presentation
           Discussion: Human Culture Variation, Social Differences, Social change,
              Political identities among the concept of ethnicity.
           Discuss the Difference between tribal and ethno-linguistic group.
    3. Activity (group activity)
               For 15 minutes, The students will be group into two groups and they
                  will be having their debates on their perspective religions.
    4. Application
               The teacher will ask the students if the statement whether it is true or
                  false.
 c. Evaluation
               Upon evaluating the students, they are asked to identify their history if
                  they are form the tribal or ethno-linguistic group.
 d. Assignment
    Answer the following:
        a. Get one whole sheet of paper.
        b. Write your name inside the circle.
        c. Draw figure 1 on the sheet of paper.
