CSS NC2 Step:


 Format first your Server Computer System Unit using Server 2008 Standard
 And your Client 1 Computer System Unit using Windows7 Ultimate
 Create 2 partition

ex: Drive C: for your O.S

Drive D: for your BackUp Files

 Prepare and arrange your cabling Straight through wire (note: Memorize & Follow
the CSS Block Diagram )

Focus to CLIENT:
 First Right click on your internet icon and click OPEN NETWORK AND SHARING
CENTER.
 Click WINDOWS FIREWALL > then Click TURN WINDOWS FIREWALL ON OR OFF
> make it sure your HOME/ PRIVATE NETWORK CONNECTION is TURN ON and
> PUBLIC NETWORK CONNECTION is TURN ON.
> And click BACK button
 Then click ALLOW PROGRAMS OR FEATURE THROUGH WINDOWS FIREWALL
 Check the following box: 1. File and Printer Sharing
 2. Network Discovery
 3. Remote Desktop
 4. Windows Firewall Remote Management
 5. Windows Remote Management

ROUTER CONFIGURATION using CLIENT SystemUnit:


 First RESET your ROUTER in 10 Sec. observed the light when blink.
 After you reset the ROUTER Turn OFF and ON the power button
 Then click START MENU > RUN > type CMD
 Type ipconfig > then it will appear the DEFAULT GATEWAY of your ROUTER >
 Then open your Browser (ex: Google, IE) > then type in ADDRESS BAR the
DefaultGateway of your ROUTER > then type USERNAME & PASSWORD (you will
see below in your ROUTER Devices ) > then click OK.
 DISABLE the WIFI of your ROUTER DEVICES > click Save > then Reboot to change
 from Network/ Local Connection type your given DEFAULT GATEWAY in IP Address
(ex: Default of Router ip: 192.168.0.1 > change the IP ADDRESS of your Default
Gateway ex: 192.168.10.10 )
 Note: Make it sure the default gateway is not the same and used by other
Devices, To avoid error internet connection.

ACCESS POINT CONFIGURATION using CLIENT SystemUnit:


 Direct first your Straight Though cable from A.P to CLIENT to configured
 then RESET your A.P in 10 Sec. observed the light when blink.
 After you reset the A.P Turn OFF and ON the power button
 Then click START MENU > RUN > type CMD
 Type ipconfig > then it will appear the DEFAULT GATEWAY of you’re A.P >
 Then open your Browser (ex: Google, IE) > then type in ADDRESS BAR the
DefaultGateway of you’re A.P > then type USERNAME & PASSWORD (you will see
below in you’re A.P Devices ) > then click OK.
 ENABLE the WIFI of you’re A.P DEVICES > Label you’re Wifi A.P Devices (ex:APWifi1)>
Type password(ex: Admin12@)> click Save > then Reboot to change
 from Network/ Local Connection type your given DEFAULT GATEWAY in IP Address
(ex: Default of A.P ip: 192.168.0.254 > change and copy the IP ADDRESS of
your Default Gateway ROUTER into A.P ex: 192.168.10.10 )
 then TURN OFF or DISABLE the DHCP > click Save > then Reboot to change
 Note: Make it sure the default gateway of you’re A.P is the same to the
ROUTER, ENABLE your Wifi, and DISABLE the DHCP of you’re A.P.
 Remove and Back your Straight Though cable from A.P to HUB.

Focus to SERVER:
 First Right click on your COMPUTER > then PROPERTIES > click CHANGE
SETTINGS > then click CHANGE Button > from computer name type: SERVER1
>Click ok > then close to Reboot/Restart your Server.
 Login first (Username: Administrator)(Password: Admin12@)

 First Right click on your internet icon and click OPEN NETWORK AND SHARING
CENTER.
 Click WINDOWS FIREWALL > then Click TURN WINDOWS FIREWALL ON OR OFF
> make it sure your HOME/ PRIVATE NETWORK CONNECTION is TURN ON and
> PUBLIC NETWORK CONNECTION is TURN ON.
> And click BACK button
 Then click ALLOW PROGRAMS OR FEATURE THROUGH WINDOWS FIREWALL
 Check the following box: 1. File and Printer Sharing
 2. Network Discovery
 3. Remote Desktop
 4. Windows Firewall Remote Management
 5. Windows Remote Management

CREATING STATIC I.P Address of SERVER:


 First Right click on your internet icon and click OPEN NETWORK AND SHARING
CENTER.
 Then Click CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS > from LOCAL AREA CONNECTION Right
Click > then PROPERTIES > uncheck the BOX (TCP/IPv6) > then click (TCP/IPv4)
> then Click PROPERTIES Button.
 choose Use the Following IP address type ip(ex: I.P ADRESS: 192.168.10.5)
automatically will appear when you click (SUBNET MASK:255.255.255.0)
you will type the I.P of your ROUTER (DEFAULTGATEWAY:192.168.10.10)
 from Use the following DNS server addresses type the ip of your SERVER in (ex:
PREFERRED DNS SERVER: 192.168.10.5) > then click OK > Click OK
 Once you change or type the I.P Address > Right Click DISABLE & ENABLE.
 Open your CMD > then type ipconfig > you will see the I.P address you created
was saved.

 Ping your Server connection In CMD > type > ping I.P of Server (ex:
ping 192.168.10.10) note: make it sure the RESULT will be 0% lost- means your
connection is good

Peer to Peer SERVER to CLIENT

 After that Try to ping your CLIENT using your SERVER connection In CMD >
type > ping I.P of Client (ex: ping 192.168.10.15) note make it sure the RESULT
will be 0% lost- means your connection is good from CLIENT

Focus to CLIENT:
 Ping your Client connection In CMD > type > ping I.P of Client (ex:
ping 192.168.10.15) note make it sure the RESULT will be 0% lost- means your
connection is good

Peer to Peer CLIENT to SERVER

 After that Try to ping your SERVER using your CLIENT connection In CMD >
type > ping I.P of Server (ex: ping 192.168.10.5) note make it sure the RESULT
will be 0% lost- means your connection is good from SERVER.

Focus to SERVER:

Starting Creating ROLES in SERVER MANAGER


1st role & 2ND role
 Open SERVER MANAGER > Click ROLES > then click ADD ROLES
 Check the box [√] ACTIVE DIRECTORY DOMAIN SERVICES
 Click NEXT > NEXT > then click INSTALL > then FINISH (note: don’t close
button).
 Click start > RUN > then type dcpromo > click Next > Next > then choose the
Second Radio Button [*] Create domain a new forest.
 Then click NEXT button > Create your own DOMAIN (ex: Paul.com)
 Choose WINDOWS 2000 > NEXT > choose WINDOWS 2000 NATIVE.
 Make it sure the box of DNS server is check [√] >NEXT > YES > click NEXT >
then Create PASSWORD: Admin12@ > then NEXT > NEXT > Finish > the
Computer will RESTART NOW> then Login when CSU resume to open.

3rd role
 Open SERVER MANAGER > Click ROLES > then click ADD ROLES
 Check the box [√] DHCP
 Click NEXT > NEXT > Click VALIDATE Button and will appear the CHECK
VALID icon. > then NEXT > click NEXT again > then Click ADD button type the
Following Ex: Scope name: Scope_1
Starting IP: 192.168.10.20
Ending IP: 192.168.10.30
SubnetMask: 255.255.255.0
DefaultGateway: 192.168.10.10
 OK >Click NEXT > then choose DISABLE the IPv6 the second RadioBox >
Next > Next again > Click then INSTALL > Close
 Right click on your internet icon and click OPEN NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER.
 Then Click MANAGE NETWORK CONNECTIONS > from LOCAL AREA CONNECTION
Right Click > then PROPERTIES > then click (TCP/IPv4) > then Click PROPERTIES
Button.
 from Use the following DNS server addresses change the ip of your SERVER from
127.0.0.1 into (ex: PREFERRED DNS SERVER: 192.168.10.5) > then click OK > Click OK
 Once you change or type the I.P Address > Right Click DISABLE & ENABLE.

4th role

 Open SERVER MANAGER > Click ROLES >from Right Side click FILE
SERVICES with >click FILTER EVENTS > uncheck the BOX [] ERROR
[] WARNING
 Click OK > Scroll Down > click ADD ROLE SERVICES > Check th BOX
[√] FILE SERVER RESOURCE MANAGER > Next > then select/ check the BOX
[√] Local Disk (C:) > click Next > Next again > Install > then CLOSE button.

5th role
 Open SERVER MANAGER > Click ROLES > then click ADD ROLES
 Check the BOX[√] Print Services > NEXT button > check the box [√] Print Server >
Next > Install > then CLOSE button > CLOSE ALL WINDOWS.

Still Focus to SERVER: for DNS


 Open SERVER MANAGER > Click Positive sign of [+]ROLES
 Click Positive sign of [+]DNS SERVER > Click Positive sign of [+]DNS >
 Click Positive sign the Computer name of your Server ex: [+]SERVER1 >
 Click Positive sign of [+]FORWARD LOOKUP ZONES >
 > Click the name of your Domain ex: Paul.com > from Right Side > Right Click
the name of your Server ex: server1 > then PROPERTIES> check the BOX
[√] Update Associated Pointer (PTR) record > then click OK
 Click REVERSE LOOKUP ZONES > then Right Click > NewZone > Click
NEXT button > NEXT > NEXT > type IP ADDRESS from Network ID:
192.168.10. >
 Click NEXT > NEXT > then Click FINISH
 Click below from ReverseLookUpZones IP ADD. You created > then RightClick >
 Select New Pointer (PTR) > then type the last digit IP ADDRESS of your
SERVER from ex: HOST IP ADDRESS: 192.168.10.5 >
 Click the BROWSE Button > Click the computer name of your Server ex:SERVER1
 Click arrow down and choose From Record Types: ALL RECORDS >
 Then go back to Double Click the Comp. name of server SERVER1 > Double Click
the FORWARD LOOK UP ZONES > Double Click the name of your Domian
ex: Paul.com > Select the (Same As Parent Folder) > then Click OK > OK
 Repeat again go to REVERSE LOOKUP ZONES > then Right Click > NewZone
> Click NEXT button > NEXT > NEXT > type IP ADDRESS from Network ID:
127.0.0. >
 Click NEXT > NEXT > then Click FINISH
 Click below from ReverseLookUpZones IP ADD. You created > then RightClick >
 Select New Pointer (PTR) > then type the last digit IP ADDRESS ex: HOST IP
ADDRESS: 127.0.0.1 >

Still Focus to SERVER: Creating 2 Organizational Unit and 4 User Accounts


 START MENU > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > Click the ACTIVE
DIRECTORY USERS and COMPUTERS > on yourDomain Name
ex: Paul.com Right click> then NEW >select ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT > TYPE
name: AdminDepartment > then Uncheck the box > click OK
 Click the USERS folder icon > from Right Side > Right Click to Administrator
then > Copy > type a 1st USER ACCOUNT- Firstname: a1 > Next
 Check the 3rd BOX[√] Password Never Expires Type the
PASSWORD: Admin12@ & CONFIRM PASSWORD: Admin12@
 Click the USERS folder icon > from Right Side > Right Click to Administrator
then > Copy > type a 2nd USER ACCOUNT- Firstname: b1> Next
 Check the 3rd BOX[√] Password Never Expires Type the
PASSWORD: Admin12@ & CONFIRM PASSWORD: Admin12@
 Select the a1 and b1 > then Drag to first O.U that you created a
AdminDepartment > click YES Button.
 From your Domain Name ex: Paul.com Right click> > then NEW >select
ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT > TYPE 2nd O.U. name: ItDepartment > then Uncheck
the box > click OK
 Click the USERS folder icon > from Right Side > Right Click to Administrator
then > Copy > type a 3rd USER ACCOUNT- Firstname: c1 > Next
 Check the 3rd BOX[√] Password Never Expires Type the
PASSWORD: Admin12@ & CONFIRM PASSWORD: Admin12@
 Click the USERS folder icon > from Right Side > Right Click to Administrator
then > Copy > type a 4th USER ACCOUNT- Firstname: d1> Next
 Check the 3rd BOX[√] Password Never Expires Type the
PASSWORD: Admin12@ & CONFIRM PASSWORD: Admin12@
 Select the c1 and d1 > then Drag to Second O.U that you created a ItDepartment
> click YES Button. CLOSE WINDOWS.

Still Focus to SERVER:CREATING REDIRECTION FOLDER in DRIVE C:


 Start Menu> Click COMPUTER > go to/ open Local Disk(C:)
 Right Click > New > FOLDER > then Type the folder name REDIRECTION
 From REDIRECTION > Right Click > then Click PROPERTIES > select SHARING
tab > Click ADVANCED SHARING BUTTON > Check the BOX
[√]SHARE THIS FOLDER > then Click PERMISSIONS Button > Click Everyone
> then click REMOVE button to remove the Everyone >
 Click ADD Button > then Type au > then Click CHECK NAME Button > Click OK >
 Select Authenticated Users then check all BOX [√]ALLOW > Apply > OK > then
Apply > then OK
 Go to SECURITY tab > then click EDIT > Click ADD Button > type au > click
CHECK NAME Button > Click OK >
 Select Authenticated Users then check all BOX [√]ALLOW >Apply > OK >
 Back to SHARING tab> copy the NETWORK PATH ex: \\Server1\redirection >
 Then click CLOSE Button

Still Focus to SERVER: for GROUP POLICY MANAGEMENT


 Click START MENU > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > Click GROUP POLICY
MANAGEMENT.
 Click Positive sign of Forest ex: [+]FOREST:Paul.com
 Click Positive sign of Domains ex: [+]DOMAINS
 Click Positive sign of Name of your Domain ex: [+]Paul.com
 Select the first O.U that you created ex: [+]AdminDepartment > RightClick >
select CREATE A GPO IN THIS DOMAIN, AND LINK IT HERE… > then
type New Group Policy Object 1 > then Click OK button
 Will appear the GPO you created below of AdminDepartment >
 Right click in New Group Policy Object 1> then Click ENFORCED to check >
 Then click the New Group Policy Object 1> and from Right Side Select
DELEGATION tab > Select Authenticated Users > then click ADVANCED
Button > Select Authenticated Users again > then check all BOX [√]ALLOW>
 Click Apply button > OK
 Right click again in New Group Policy Object 1> then Click EDIT >
 Click the Positive Sign of User Configuration ex: [+]USER CONFIGURATION
 Click the Positive Sign of Policies ex: [+]POLICIES
 Click the Positive Sign of Windows Settings ex: [+]WINDOWS SETTINGS
 Click the Positive Sign of Folder Redirection ex: [+]FOLDER REDIRECTION

 Then go to SETTINGS tab > uncheck the ALL Three BOX > Click APPLY > YES

Note: after creating 1st GPO you will create again another 2nd GPO, the procedure are
the same only from first GPO, follow the STEP again.

 Select the second O.U that you created ex: [+]ItDepartment > RightClick > select
CREATE A GPO IN THIS DOMAIN, AND LINK IT HERE… > then type
New Group Policy Object 2 > then Click OK button
 Will appear the GPO you created below of ItDepartment >
 Right click in New Group Policy Object 2> then Click ENFORCED to check >
 Then click the New Group Policy Object 2> and from Right Side Select

Still Focus to SERVER: for FEATURES Windows Back-Up


 Open SERVER MANAGER > Click FEATURES > Click ADD FEATURES >
 Select the BOX [◘]Windows Server Backup Features > click NEXT >
Install > then Click CLOSE Button
 Then Close all windows

Focus to CLIENT: Joining a DOMAIN


 First Right click on your internet icon and click OPEN NETWORK AND SHARING
CENTER.
 Then Click CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS > from LOCAL AREA CONNECTION Right
Click > then PROPERTIES > then click (TCP/IPv4) > then Click PROPERTIES
Button.
 choose Use the following DNS server addresses type the ip of your SERVER
in (ex: PREFERRED DNS SERVER: 192.168.10.5) > then click OK > Click OK
 After you type the IP ADD. Right Click Local Area connection DISABLE then ENABLE
| Note: you must need to do that to Refresh the I.P ADDRESS of CLIENT
 Click START MENU > Right Click from COMPUTER > then Properties
 Click CHANGE SETTINGS > Click CHANGE Button > Choose and Select
DOMAIN > then type the name of your domain ex: DOMAIN: Paul.com >
 Click OK > then Type the Username & Password > click OK > the computer
will request to RESTART > Click Close button then RESTART NOW > the
computer will resume to open.

Focus to CLIENT: Login a USER ACCOUNT & FILE SHARING


 Click Start Menu > then Click SWITCH USER > click Other Account
 Type the USERNAME and PASSWORD that you Created in server ex:
Username: a1 || Password: Admin12@
 On DESKTOP > Right Click Create NEW FOLDER > then Rename FILE
SHARING A1 > Inside of FILE SHARING A1 Folder > Right Click Create Text
Document then type your information ex:
Full Name, Age, Birthday, Birth Place, and type CSS NC2.
Note: Using Computer of SERVER you can see now the File Sharing Folder that you
created from CLIENT.

Focus to SERVER: STORAGE for BACK UP and RESTORE

“BackUp”
 Click Server Manager > click Positive sign of Storage ex: [+]Storage >
 Click WINDOWS SERVER BACKUP > Click in right side the BACKUP ONCE >
 Click Next > Select the first Radio Button [•]FULL SERVER (Recommended) > NEXT
 Select the first Radio Button [•]LOCAL DRIVES > NEXT > Click YES >
 Select the first Radio Button [•]VSS COPY BACKUP (RECOMMENDED)> NEXT > then
Click BACKUP button> wait until to finish Bakcup 100% > click CLOSE button.

“Restored”
 Click Server Manager > click Positive sign of Storage ex: [+]Storage >
 Click WINDOWS SERVER BACKUP > Click in right side the RECOVERY >
 Select first Radio Button ex: [•]THIS SERVER (SERVER1) Click NEXT > NEXT > NEXT
> Click Positive sign of SERVER computer name ex: [+]Server1 >
 Then Select LOCAL DISK (C:) to Back Up all > NEXT > OK > Click BROWSE
Button > Click Positive sign of Coputer ex: [+]COMPUTER > then Choose
LOCAL DISK (D:) for Restoring Files Destination > Click OK > NEXT> RECOVER
> Click CLOSE Button > Close Wndows
Note: after back up & Restoring a FILES you can see to DRIVE (D:)

Focus to SERVER: INSTALLING PRINTER SHARING


 First connect your Printer to Server> then install drivers of Printer >
 Go to ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > Click PRINT MANAGEMENT >
 Click positive sign of [+]PRINT SERVERS > Click positive sign of computer name
[+]SERVER1(Local) > Click PRINTERS > Right Click on brand name of PRINTER >
 Click MANAGE SHARING > then Check the BOX [√]SHARE THIS PRINTER > Click
APPLY > then OK Button

Focus to CLIENT: PRINTER SHARING


 First Click START MENU > Click COMPTER > From LEFT SIDE Click NETWORK >
 Then open the Compter name of your SERVER > Right Click on the Brand of Printer
Device ex: EPSON L360 Series > then Click CONNECT
 And now you can try to TEST the PRINTER SHARING using your CLIENT

For REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTIONS:

This step are same procedure both SERVER or CLIENT Computer System Unit

 Click Start Menu > Right Click from COMPUTER >


 Then PROPERTIES > Click CHANGE SETTINGS then>
 Click REMOTE Tab> Choose the radio button in Second Box
[ ] Don’t ……
[• ] Allow Connections from Computers running any version of Remote
Desktop (less secure)
[ ] Allow …….
 Click OK > then Click APPLY Button > OK Button >
 Click Start Menu> Search REMOTE DESKTOP CONNETIONS >
 From COMPUTER:_______ type the I.P ADDRESS that you want to REMOTE to
Control the Computer > then Connect > Enter USERNAME & PASSWORD >
 Click Yes > then OK.

Note: After All Don’t forget Back to WORKGROUP your CLIENT.

Proper Shutdowns of your Computer System Unit. And

Keep leave clean your Work Station Area
